Eliza Jane gets along well with her foster dog sisters but she does show a lot of excitement and curiosity around the cat. She is around a year old and weighs 35lbs. ELIZA JANE - ADOPTED! is everything you would want in a red beagle mix: smart, curious, affectionate, and playful! Her foster mom just loves her and this is what she says about her: She is hilarious, spontaneous, full of kisses and makes me laugh all day! Loves everyone, dogs, and humans of all sizes and is fearless; traffic, loud noises nothing seems to scare her. She is smart, amazingly trainable and responds beautifully to treats. Learns something new everyday.
Eliza is young so she loves playtime and chasing the ball. Completely house-trained but needs to go out as soon she wakes up from a nap. She's learning to like being in her crate for a nap, and when left in the house alone. She is a total snug bug in bed and loves movie night on the sofa. All she needs is a pinch of training and love love love. She'll return it in spades!

VIVVI - ADOPTED is a very affectionate girl who loves to be with people and loves to play! She would be great in an active home, as a playmate to kids or another dog. She would like to find an owner who will love and treasure her. She is such a pleaser and very receptive to positive reinforcement but nobody has bothered to spend time with her. In fact, we learned she was adopted from the shelter earlier this year but returned as her owner didn't have time for her. Poor Vivvi - she is such a sweet girl, certainly on the calmer side - not hyper at all. Weighing in at 22lbs she is on the small side and we think she is around 18m old. Vivvi is just adorable with her black mask and long, slender legs! She deserves a family that can give her a forever home -- what a sweetheart!

TOOTSIE ROLL -ADOPTED! Oh goodness this girl really does remind us of a sweet Tootsie Roll! She's a chunky monkey that likes her treats, and really needs a new family that will help her lose a pound or two and get back into shape! She was picked up by Animal Control as a stray - don't know why she left home as she obviously was well fed! She is a nice low key kind of girl, very friendly. She is very affectionate and savors all the love and attention she can get from her people. She would be a perfect family companion! We think Tootsie is around 4 years old and she weighs 20lbs.

MIMI - ADOPTED! Are you looking for lots of personality in a small package? Well Mimi is the girl for you! She's sweet, silly & playful! Her foster home just adores her. She plays well with all the dogs in the home both big & small. She can also be found trying to entice the cats into a play session even though she's quite smaller than them!
She's about a year old, crate trained and not a big barker at all! She will sit for her treats (loves cheese! ) & even spin around for it.
She's quite a gem and could be yours! Typical Chihuahua, she would do better in a home with no young kids to annoy her ---

TANON-ADOPTED!- He is absolutely stunning! Heads will turn when you walk down the street with this gorgeous boy! Check out those "tiger stripes"! So cool He is so cute and his ears go into overdrive as they can't decide to go up or down. Very friendly, plays nicely with other dogs and does well with kids too. He is such a sweetheart. Going to make one lucky family very happy indeed! Tanon is around 18m, and weighs 24lbs.

BROWNIE! ADOPTED! You are in for a treat when you meet Brownie. Not only is she absolutely gorgeous to look at, but sweet, gentle and so exceptionally adorable! Check out those little shortie legs with a long body and very long tail that is always wagging! She is around a year old so has plenty of energy and is playful and full of fun! She's a girl that loves belly rubs and is very affectionate. Brownie is a perfect name for her, she has a beautiful coat, pretty eyes and is so delicious, you just want to eat her up! Brownie weighs about 25lbs - a nice medium size girl!

MAIZE - ADOPTED - She is such a GOOD puppy, says her foster mom! - great with other dogs, loves kids, happy, happy puppy - About 4 months and 20lbs, we think she will be a big girl when she is fully grown. She has the prettiest of coloring as you can see - a really stunning girl! Maize spent several weeks at Animal Control - she came in with her litter mates but they all got adopted and Maize was left behind. Maize has the most expressive eyes, especially for one so young. She is pleading for her new family to find her and take her home so she can start her new life! She promises you a life time of fun, unconditional love and, of course, lots of sloppy, wet kisses!

BEE ADOPTED! Bee for BEAUTIFUL and this girl certainly has the looks to go along with her very sweet and friendly personality! She is playful, still in puppy mode and loves to play with her doggie friends. A quick puppy manners class would be fun as she is so smart and will learn quickly what is expected of her! She sat nicely when she found we had yummy treats!

MARIANNA - ADOPTED! --- Look at this sweet girl! Marianna was turned into Animal Control along with her pretty puppies -- Of course, they all snagged homes pretty quickly, but Marianna was not so lucky. And when she tested positive for heartworms, she moved to the top of the euthanasia list. Luckily we were visiting the shelter, met Marianna and just fell in love! Beyond sweet, this girl is a true gem. We invited her into our program, got her heartworms treated, spayed her so no more puppies ever for her, and gave her a few weeks of R & R and now she's ready to move on to the next chapter of her life -- which is going to be all good! Marianna is around 2 years old, weighs 40lbs, is very friendly, sweet, quiet and housetrained. She gets on great with other dogs and loves kids, but her favorite thing is belly rubs!

THISTLE- ADOPTED! This baby girl is about 5mo., 20lbs and just so cute we can't even get started! We're guessing on her breed -once you meet her, you won't care what she is -she may be a muppet for how awesome she is! Thistle is a baby, so you have to be ready to work with her on all the baby puppy stuff, but we promise you that she is so worth it! She's a happy and friendly girl!

Pepper ADOPTED! is a great girl, friendly with other dogs, cats, or kids. At just 5 months she weighs 35lbs so we anticipate she will be a big girl when fully grown! She is a little on the submissive side when meeting new people. Like most pups, Pepper loves to chew and will need an owner who can provide her with lots of chew toys and teach her what she can chew on! Lots of love,patience and training so she can grow up to be a great dog that you can be proud of. Foster mom says that Pepper is housetrained and is a very smart girl that learns quickly. She is an active dog, loves to play and run and then settles down for a nice long nap.

BUNSEN- ADOPTED! -A little grey on the muzzle just means experience! Bunsen's foster mom says: He's basically a stuffed animal. Soft bed, bowl of food and a scratch on the head and he's content. He does love being outside and going for walks.
How can you go wrong with that? Maybe you are looking for a guy who doesn't need you to hike mountains to behave? Bunsen is your MAN! We think Bunsen is around 7 years old and he weighs 15lbs. He qualifies for our 'Grey Muzzle Club' with a special adoption donation.

ANGIE - ADOPTED! Another darling girl who was not doing well in the shelter - it's very scary for the little ones and Angie retreated to the back of her kennel and pretended she wasn't really there! We took her outside to the play area, and she turned into a completely different dog, running around and playing without a care in the world. Of course we invited her to join PPR! Because of her size and initial shyness, we think she would prefer a home with no little kids please. Angie is around 2 years old, weighs 9lbs and is a pretty Chi mix.

GUSTAVO - ADOPTED! - Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle --- His tail wags so hard that it takes his whole body along with it! Cute little puppy that just brings a smile to your face! He is around 4 months old, so will need some guidance on behavior, what is his to chew and what is not! He is in that puppy teething stage! He is doing great with his house and crate training and his foster mom just adores him. He is sweet, friendly to people and dogs, and loves to sit on your lap. SCAMPI-ADOPTED! --What a friendly boy! He loves to stop and say HI to everyone he meets. A stroll through town might take a while with Scampi as everyone will want to admire him and ask you - Where did you get that dog!!

SCAMPI is a happy, sociable little guy -about 25lbs, 1-2yrs- and HE'S SO FLUFFY!! Can't you see the smile on this guy's face? He's ready to bring you so much happy and just wants to have fun with you! He loves to play with his doggie friends too!

This handsome dude is DUDE - ADOPTED!
A good ol' southern boy, that unfortunately decided to have a night on the town, had a run in with a car (some minor cuts and scrapes luckily) and couldn't find his way back home. Luckily a nice couple picked him up, and brought him to one of our fosters. She got him all fixed up, and after an exhaustive search to find his owner with no avail, he became a PPR dog.
Dude knows several commands, including sit, lie down and shake. He's very comfortable in the house and has obviously been someone's loved pet. Housetrained, quiet in the house and when crated, he gets on great with the other dogs in the foster home. He is a low maintenance kind of dog, loves to play with his foster brother or just hang out and chill with his people. Really whatever you want to do, he is more than pleased to do too! His foster mom says he is one of the best and easiest fosters ever! Dude is a nice family dog, he is around 3 years old, weighs 50lbs and is such a lover boy -- he gives the best kisses ever!

TRICK (ADOPTED) AND TREAT (ADOPTED) - two adorable little chihuahua puppies that sadly found themselves homeless at the tender age of 3 months. They are very sweet, very friendly and have perfected the art of giving little kisses! They love to be held and cuddle on your lap. Trick is the boy and he is short haired, Treat is a girl and has longer hair. They both weigh around 5lbs so we imagine they will stay on the small side when fully grown.

POPPY- ADOPTED! Poppy is a super sweet, young, yellow lab mix girl! Her tail wags if you just look at her! Poppy's foster mom tells us she's a major butt wiggler and a superb snuggler on the sofa (and the bed, shh don't tell)! Happy to meet anyone, house trained, crates super easily. Since she loves a treat, she's easy to train and is respectful towards her doggie foster brother. She's a straighforward happy go lucky girl with nothing to prove and everything to enjoy.

Meet Blinkie - ADOPTED! our sweet, little 11lbs Chihuahua girl.
Like many little ones, Blinkie can be a bit shy when she first meets you, but she would love to get to know you and be your best friend! Her foster mom just loves her and says she is so sweet - a snuggle bug - gets on with the other dogs in the home and is housetrained too. Blinkie is about 18 months old.
Blinkie has a minor special need, she only has one eye. Blinkie does not care that she only has one eye and it makes her even more adorable.

HENRI! ADOPTED! Looking for a friend who will keep you entertained, and provide unconditional love? Henri volunteers for the job! Henri is a cute pup, who is looking to join a family that loves to have fun! He is a puppy, just 4 months old with the most adorable 'smoochy' face! He will need a family that is ready for the responsibility of training a puppy - a puppy kindergarten class would be fun for him and his new owner. He is so dang smart that he will be the star of the show! He loves everyone and plays well with other dogs so if you have a dog that is looking for a playmate, one that will be patient with a puppy and teach him the ropes, then please consider Henri. His mom is Simone, a spaniel mix, we have no idea about Daddy, of course - another super GA Mystery Mutt!

CHIA - ADOPTED! - is a little girl with a lot of love to give a home! Really the size of a fairly small beagle , we are guessing she is probably a Boston Terrier/Beagle mix -the BEST sort of mix around! Chia is Boston Strong too -she survived the horribly frightening and often deadly Animal Control and is now ready to live the good life for the rest of her life! Housebroken and pretty quiet (the beagle genetics lost there), she could be your next best friend!

BETSY - ADOPTED! If you love big dogs, then you will love sweet Betsy! She weighs 70lbs and she is around a year old! A gentle giant! Very friendly girl who was turned in to the shelter by her owners when she grew too big. They reported that she was housetrained and good with kids. Unfortunately her time at the shelter was very limited and so, of course, when we learned that she was in danger we invited her to join our crew! CHARLIE - ADOPTED! What a looker! He should be in the movies! He has a sunny personality and is so eager to please. He is very people oriented, outgoing and friendly. Charlie is going to make a great companion and at 18 pounds, is a perfect size for just about any situation. He gets on just fine with other dogs and we think he is around 3 years old. Charlie is just a charmer!

TINSEL- ADOPTED! is the most adorable, friendly, black fluffy puppy -- We think she is about 10 months old and she weighs 35lbs. Tinsel is a typical youngster, thinks the world is just ready for her to explore - loves everyone and everything. It's wonderful to watch her as she runs and plays with her doggie friends, not a care in the world. Luckily for Tinsel we were at the shelter when she was being turned in - her owner said she is just not ready for a puppy and the kids were losing interest and not helping with her care. As we always say, please be sure you are ready for the responsibility of bringing a puppy home. Tinsel will do well in an active home, perhaps even as a companion to another playful dog. She is young and is eager to learn and is going to make an awesome family dog!

SANDY - ADOPTED! is a smiley and easy going girl. She's 28lbs and approximately 3 years old. She is very well behaved, both in the home and out on the leash. Sandy hit hard times and entered doggie jail when her person was taken to the human variety. Poor Sandy her outlook was bleak and she faced euthanasia as she had been there a while and was heart worm positive. Thanks to our wonderful volunteers a plan was put in place for her rescue and her heartworm treatment!
Sandy gets on famously with children, dogs and cats and she charms everyone that meets her! Sandy loves people and is very affectionate towards them. She enjoys lounging around in dogs beds and snuggling on the couch very much. Sandy would be a great family dog or a wonderful companion for anyone. Sandy is house and crate trained too. Sandy has clearly enjoyed life in her former home and she has some basic skills such as sit, and down. Sandy offers her paw to shake too. It would be just wonderful to see this beautiful loving girl safely back in a loving home once more.

BISTO!ADOPTED! There are just not enough wonderful things to say about this adorable pup! He ooozes personality, LOVES everyone he meets, both 4 and 2 legged --- His tail is in constant motion as he explores his world! He loves to play with toys and will toss them in the air and go running after them if you tire of thowing them for him! Plays very nicely with other dogs. - Lucky is the family that brings Bisto home! Lots of kisses, snuggles and fun in their future for sure! Bisto is just a pup, around 5 months old, weighs 10lbs.

THE STORM PUPPIES- ADOPTED!: Poppet's puppies are 8 weeks old now and are ready to travel to NY and find their new homes! Poppet came into our rescue pregnant and her puppies were lucky enough to be born in a home environment. They came into the world during a very bad storm in GA, hence the 'storm' names! They have been well socialized and are happy and confident little ones. Mom Poppet is a poodle mix who weighs 12lbs so we expect her puppies will be on the small side when fully grown. Stormy and Flash have long hair so they will need regular trips to the groomer to keep them looking good. We would prefer them to go to a family without little children because of their small size.

WINDY ADOPTED! is the only girl - she loves to play with her big brothers and is the first one to explore new things. She may be small but she is certainly the most outgoing of the 3 and is the first to initiate a game of chase. She weighs in at 3.6lbs

FLASH - ADOPTED is the biggest boy at 4.5lbs. He certainly likes to eat! He has the softest fur which is mostly white though his ears are tan colored. He is very snuggly and likes to follow along and play with his siblings.

STORMY ADOPTED! is loving and affectionate - he loves to have his tummy rubbed and will whimper for you to pick him up. He has shortie little legs and very long fur.Check out his cute eyebrows! He seems to have a very easy going personality. He weighs in at 3.5lbs.

JACQUES- ADOPTED! - He certainly has got the pathetic, 'pet me', I need to be loved', look down pat and you will be happy to oblige! He really wants to be with his person and when he looks at you with those sad brown eyes, you really just want to cuddle with him. He is more of a quiet boy, walks fine on a leash, but also loves to cuddle next to you too. He's cute, super sweet, very affectionate, fine around other dogs and just wants to be loved!

Jacques was surrendered to the shelter as an 'unwanted gift'. Jacques has been groomed and he looks even more adorable now! We think Jacques is around 5 years old and he weighs in at 5lbs.

ADOPTED! This little cutie pie is DAWN! She is as precious as they come! Why her previous owners did not appreciate such a gentle soul, we can't fathom. She is a nice size weighing 17lbs and we think she is around a year old -- Way past the puppy obnoxiousness but still young and playful! She would be just a perfect family dog! Sweet, friendly to people and other dogs, and cute as well - What more is there to say!

Salem - ADOPTED is a great girl, about 3 months old and weighing 10 lbs. Salem came to PPR together with sister Elvira from a Animal Control shelter where she had little chance of getting out alive. Black dogs are oftentimes overlooked. Salem got her lucky break and is now looking for her forever family. She is playful, fun and sweet. MOJO- ADOPTED! It is craziness that this little boy found himself homeless and unwanted. This guy is adorable! He looks like a circus dog! He has oodles of personality, bonds quickly to his favorite person and is a pretty joyful soul. MoJo is good with dogs and cats, enjoys car rides and is crate trained. He's probably around a year old and about 12lbs.

AMBROSIA - ADOPTED! is a very fluffy, shepherd mix puppy who is about 12 weeks old and weighs 12lbs! She is a wiggly, fun loving, friendly and happy girl who is ready to find her new family. She has started on crate training in her foster home and will need an owner who will continue her training and who is ready for the responsibility of training Ambrosia to grow up to be a well mannered pup. She is an older pup, so out of that annoying young puppy stage, but will still need some guidance and training - We think she is about a year old. She weighs 35lbs and we see pointer in her makeup!

DARLA! ADOPTED! This special girl is tail wagging and butt wiggling Darla. We promised this sweetie that she would have a family that loved her squishy face as much as we do.
Darla is 4 years old and weighs 50 lbs right now. She is very friendly and loving to people, fun and playful. She likes to have all the attention herself and so Darla needs a home with no other pets.

ELSA -ADOPTED! practically perfect in every way ! And she really is! We don't know the circumstances that led to Elsa being in a rural high kill shelter but when no owner came to bail her out, she was slated to die as the shelter was convinced no one would adopt her. The volunteers just begged us to save her and came together to orchestrate her rescue.
Her foster family just love her to bits and this is what they tell us: Elsa is an easy girl to take care of and love. She is completely house and crate trained. She gets along well with the two small dogs in her foster home and is only interested in the cat sometimes. Elsa enjoys playing with toys, cuddling on the couch, going for walks, meeting people and most of all riding in the car which she loves. She is a complete doll baby, gentle and mellow but fun too! She has plenty of energy and can be very playful and greets us like a pup when we come home. We would love to see Elsa get a fabulous home she is truly deserving and a general all round good girl. Elsa weighs about 50lbs and best estimate on age is between 6-8 years. We see shepherd in her make up.

BARNEY!ADOPTED! He is the most adorable beagle boy. He's quite the gentleman, calm, well mannered and friendly. He came into the shelter as a stray - his hound nose probably led him on an adventure when he picked up an irresistible scent and he just kept on going! This little girl is all love...ALL LOVE. Lived a hard life before she came to our rescue. For all she endured, she remains a darling who is great with everyone. Patrice is easy to train but still retains her goofy persona. She is highly affectionate while maintaining personal space when needed. She is also alert and energetic but immediately passes out after playtime and is known to sleep on her back and snore at times. This lady is full of love and kisses! Just a great family dog!

SPIKE- ADOPTED - his photo taken at Animal Control really captured our attention and we are sure it will you too! Poor little guy was running around the streets and got napped by the dog catcher and taken to jail. Actually it was a good thing as obviously his 'first life' was nothing to write home about and now he is a PPR dog, we will make sure he goes to a family that will spoil him forever! Spike has been checked by our vet and it seems he had a bad case of flea dermatitis - Now the fleas are all gone and he's receiving good nutrition and love in his foster home, his hair is growing back nicely!

We cannot believe that a sweet girl like her ended up in doggie jail, but are glad that she was able to join our crew. Now all she needs is a great home to call her own. AND GLORIA(Adopted) are two little chihuahuas that found themselves in the very scary shelter. They are around two years old - Gloria weighs 8lbs and Emilio is 9lbs. Foster mom says Emilio is the more outgoing of the two, he is very social and friendly. They are both very sweet and love to cuddle - They are also great bed buddies and love to snuggle under the covers!

DYSON (male on the right) and KAYDA (female) BOTH ADOPTED! are two beautiful, labby pups. They are around 6 months old, weigh 40lbs and have just come into our rescue. They were surrendered by their owner as they grew too big and Landlord said they had to go. They seem to have had a little training, are very friendly and sweet but can be on the shy side in new situations. Foster mom tells us they are housetrained too! They love to play with their toys and bones and are very loving.

SOLEIL - ADOPTED! is just the most adorable, roly poly bundle of puppy fun! Kisses like an expert and loves to play with her puppy and human friends. No couch potatoes need apply for Soleil! She weighs in around 30lbs and is probably about 8 months old so expect her to carry on growing for a while.

LUNA - ADOPTED! is a wonderful young lady. She is one of those all-around fun, happy-go-lucky kind of pups, and is just sweet and friendly. Even a stay at Animal Control didn't get her down. We took her out to the play yard and she had great fun playing with the other dogs! She is very eager to please and is so smart,and we know she would be the star pupil at puppy obedience classes! She is a non-stop tail wagging youngster with a lovely, smiley face. We think there is lab in her background, check out her cute webbed feet. Luna is around 5/6 months old and weighs 15/20lbs. She was turned into the shelter by her owner who said he couldn't afford to take care of her.

SHOSHI! - ADOPTED!

Her foster mom tells us she is a Love Bug! She is so sweet. She is satisfied to just sit in your lap or next to you. She presents as a tad shy but not for long and she will be wherever you are. She walks well on a leash and does well riding in a car. We don't know what her life was like before ending up at Animal Control, but judging by what we saw when she came into the shelter, we know it wasn't good and she was very neglected. Her nails were so long, her teeth were in need of some attention, and sadly she tested positive for heartworms too. Well PPR to the rescue! We got all that taken care of, spayed her as well and she has been spending the last few weeks being pampered!

Shoshi is low maintenance, content to hang out with her people - we think she would be a perfect companion for a retired person or someone that is home a lot. She gets along with other dogs, but is not really interested in being a playmate for them. Her foster mom also tells us that she loves to eat and sleeps on the bed with her foster mom at night. Shoshi is around 5 years old and weighs 16lbs.

PONDER- ADOPTED! - just stole our hearts when we saw him at Animal Control. Huddled in the back of his cage, he looked so sad. We learned that he had been seized from his owner with several other dogs as they had not been looked after properly.

Ponder is as sweet as they come and just cuddled into us when we rescued him from the scary shelter. He is about 4 years old and weighs just 7lbs. He is a perfect lap dog size and that's just what he would like to be -- cuddled with his owner and spoiled to bits.

FONDA - ADOPTED! is the cutest little JRT mix girl! She is around 2 years old and so she is past the puppy antics of a young dog with annoying chewing or jumping habits!
Fonda is such a sweet girl! Her foster mom tells us that she loves people, gets on great with her dogs and kitties, is a great kisser, walks nicely on leash, doesn't chew, loves her crate and is housetrained. You will never find a more happy, loving dog who would make an absolutely wonderful companion.
She weighs in at 16lbs so a nice size for just about any situation.

Meet TRISCUIT! ADOPTED What a treasure! This little girl looks like a dog that belongs in the movies. Just entirely too cute. She is a friendly little girl and very affectionate. Triscuit is good with other dogs, in fact she shared a kennel with Patrice at Animal Control. Unfortunately her owners lost their home and so Patrice and Triscuit went to the shelter! Triscuit loves to go for walks and enjoys exploring the new smells. She loves going for car rides too. She is very much a people dog and she just loves attention. Housetrained and good with kids too!

PANDA! ADOPTED! This gorgeous gal found herself all alone and in dire straits at the animal control with a bad shave and no friends. She's such a loving, friendly gal, we just can't understand how such a thing could have happened! Panda is about 10lbs., maybe 5-6yrs, according to the vet, and in great health. Her milky eye has been called an old injury that healed with no problems. She is a wonderful girl who would love to snuggle with you and give endless kisses!

JASPER - ADOPTED! is one of those happy, smart, friendly dogs who smiles at you and you just can’t help but smile back when you see him! He is just a joy to be around, and is a real love bug. He loves to play with his doggie foster brother so would be a good companion for another playful dog. He already knows several commands, and is treat motivated so it will be fun to teach him more. Good house manners, potty trained and sleeps in foster moms' bedroom at night! His foster family just have nothing but good things to say about him. He is about 18m old and weighs 35lbs. CALYPSO- ADOPTED~! Brought in to the shelter by a citizen as a stray, we can't understand why he was running loose or why his owner didn't come and look for him.

Estelle and Keller( both adopted) are certainly two cute little 'scruffies' -- but even being so cute could not save them from possible euthanasia at a crowded shelter. On our recent visit to Animal Control, they were being turned as their owner could no longer care for them.
She was told they had no open kennel space so it was not possible to put them up for adoption. Luckily we overheard the conversation and offered them a place in our rescue.

KELLER ADOPTED - male

They are friendly and affectionate. They do get along well together, but are not necessarily a "bonded pair". They are available for adoption together or separate and will be happy either way. They are young adults and weigh under 10lbs.

DECAF ADOPTED Oh he is so handsome and unlike some Chihuahuas, is not shy at all! Decaf is a very friendly pup. He has a playful and fun personality and is just the cutest little guy! MOOCHER ADOPTED: is one of those happy, smart, friendly dogs that everyone just loves! Just a great medium size, he knows how to sit nicely for treats and has a tail that never stops wagging. He was one of the shelter volunteers' favorites and they all were so happy when they learned PPR was able to bring him into our rescue! He is a true "people dog" so we want to find him a wonderful home where his family will have the time to devote to him and who will appreciate the devotion he will return! Moocher is smart, easy-going and even tempered, so we know he'll make a great family dog.

FREUD ADOPTED- This guy will provide all the therapy you need for free! Freud had come into the animal control with his brother, but once his brother was adopted, he lost the happy in him and no one wanted to adopt him there. Cody (beige - male) and Wynter ADOPTED! (white - female) are a bonded pair of toy poodles who are looking for a special someone that will give them a new home together. They are very cuddly lapdogs who just want to be with their person. Unfortunately their owner was unable to care for them anymore and so Perfect Pets came to the rescue. Like many small dogs, they can present as a little shy but once they get to know you, they are both very affectionate and snuggly! They do great with kids though we would prefer no little ones just because of their size.

GUSTERSON-ADOPTED! -This little guy lucked out when one of our volunteers saw him at the animal control. He wasn't getting adopted there because he has a defective foot. Though it doesn't bother him, it must have chased off adopters. He is a sweetie! Loving, fun, adorable! He's an adult, quite small and will stay that way. GEORGIA- ADOPTED - What a beautiful girl ! She is a friendly and confident and is an expert kisser! She is young, around 18m, very smart and will be a joy to teach new things, tricks, etc and maybe even some dog sports. She is not particularly high energy, and does like to be with her person and follow you from room to room. She is quiet in the house but will alert you to another person near her yard when she is outside. We see border collie/retriever in her make up: she likes to herd the other dogs in her foster home, probably better with no little kids. She is actually fine with cats and leaves them alone. Completely housetrained and does well in a crate. She is a 'hoarder' and will collect stuff and bring to her crate -- so be warned not to leave anything out that you don't want her to collect or chew!!

ICE-T ADOPTED is a goofy, fun-loving boy! He's about 6mo, 30lbs and just such a bunny. Ice-T loves EVERYONE and is outgoing and sweet. He has been clean in the house and is very good in his crate. He is still teething and learning manners, but what puppy isn't? We aren't really sure what breeds made him, he was a stray and in an over-crowded animal control when we met him. Wednesday ADOPTED! is a very special girl to us and her road to recovery was not an easy one. Wednesday lost her home togeher with her buddy Pugsley and ended up in a shelter that did not give them very much time to find a new home. When we rescued Wednesday we noticed a very large tumor on her belly. We whisked Wednesday to the vet where she had extensive surgery removing all her breast tissue. The biopsy revealed that she indeed had breast cancer. The vet thinks we pretty much got all the cancer and Wednesday feels like a new dog now. It took her a few weeks to recover from the surgery, but she is ready for a forever home now. Wednesday is a very low key and sweet girl. She is great with other dogs and enjoys playtime very much. She also knows some tricks. She would be a great dog for an retired person or a family that enjoys a lap dog. Wednesday is about 8 years old and weighs 12 lbs. FIJI- ADOPTED Don't you just LOVE this face!!! Little Fiji is just that -- little. Perfect size for cuddling on a lap or being carried around! He is around 5 years old and looks like life has not been that wonderful up to now. He has a bum hind leg - he uses it and our vet checked it out with xrays and thinks it is an old injury that just never got any medical attention and healed like that. He certainly uses it just fine and it doesn't slow him down one bit!

Little Donut is a very sweet and submissive Rat Terrier Mix girl with lots of heart and love to give. She is only 18 months old and was picked up stray. Unfortunately, Donut's family did not spay her and Donut became a mom at the worst place possible- Animal Control.
Luckily, Donut was rescued two days after giving birth and moved into a loving foster home with her only surviving puppy (Munchkin). She is a sweet, snuggly and just a great, darling girl. She does well with other dogs in her home but can be a tad insecure on the leash.

After a nice bath to wash away all the grime from his stay at the shelter - this guy looks just amazing! He is very friendly to both people and other dogs. He is so fluffy! ADOPTED! This beautiful beagle girl is Julep! She is such a sweetheart! Shy and submissive, she loves to be with her person - so happy just to be in the same room as you! She is housetrained and does well on the leash. She gets on fine with dogs her size or smaller, but can be a bit intimidated with by dogs much bigger than her. Like all beagles, she loves to follow scents with her houndy nose - and that is the reason that we see so many of them that get lost and have to find new owners. There are so very many dogs at the animal control, and she was just a little too shy in the noisy environment to catch anyone's attention. Once outside, she warmed up very quickly and we knew we had to give her this chance!

LIBERTY - ADOPTED (Libby) They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and certainly a photo saved sweet Liberty's life!    A volunteer was visiting a rural GA shelter when she came upon a little pup that had just been picked up as a stray in a sad condition. She was told that after her 5 day stray hold was up, she would be euthanized as surely no one would want to adopt/rescue her.   Well the Animal Control officer didn't realize that many people would want to help her and our wonderful volunteers quickly arranged her rescue.
Libby has spent many weeks in a loving GA foster home, receiving the best of care. It is amazing what good nutrition, some meds and lots of love can do and now Libby is ready to move on to the next chapter of her life!
She is just a true 'ham' and loves to be the center of attention - she will play with anyone who will join in and a good game of chase or tug with the other (bigger) dog in her foster home is her favorite.

Mom Lily is a medium size girl around 35lbs but, of course, Dad didn't stick around so we have no idea on him and how big these pups might end up being!

Her owner turned her and two other dogs in to Animal Control as he could no longer take care of them. Though it's sad they lost their home, they were all full of fleas with their coats severely matted and neglected . The shelter workers shaved off her filthy hair and gave her a bath and we know that made her feel much better. We will find Dory a loving new home where she will be spoiled and treated like a princess for the rest of her life. We think she is around 18 months old and see miniature schnauzer/poodle in her mix. She has a soft coat.

CHRISTINE - ADOPTED! - What a cutie! She is a 1-2 year old Chiweenie and weighs in at 12lbs. She is perfectly sized for snuggling and lap sitting, both of which she excels at! Christine came to us via a Animal Control shelter we work with a lot. She captured hearts in a video made by one of our volunteers and got her ticket to ride. ROSS - Beagles are one of PPR's passion. They are sweet, funny, have wonderful silky soft ears and in general they are amazing family pets.
Ross is no exception. He is just a joy to be around. He wants to play with other dogs, likes his belly rubbed and will make you smile with his happy demeanor.

Ross was dumped by his owner at the Animal Shelter and really needed a ticket out. It's our pleasure to have him as a PPR dog and we hope that you will want to add this gem to your family too.

STARLIGHT - ADOPTED is a very friendly and sweet girl that found herself locked up in a cage at Animal Control. Surrounded by cages of cute puppies, little Starlight was getting overlooked as people were immediately attracted to the babies, of course. She stood looking through the bars as people went by - tail wagging, she remained very hopeful that someone would take the time to stop and visit with her. We did! She leapt into our arms and her fate was sealed! We invited her to join PPR. She is a very petite and friendly girl,who is going to enjoy being pampered in her new home, and joining in with daily activities. She trots along nicely on a leash and will make a great companion as she loves to be with her person!

HEMI - ADOPTED!- Please...who doesn't want an adorable black labby boy? This guy has friendliness oozing out of every pore! Love and joy and ready for all the lessons you want to teach him -this is one GREAT puppy! Hemi is a silly pup who loves to explore his surroundings. He's very friendly with people (including pint sized ones) and other dogs. He's curious with cats but hasn't shown any signs of aggression toward them. He's doing very well with his house training and is working on some simple commands for treats! He's not a big barker, either! He loves to be cuddled after a day of activity... He's got a great personality and will make a very good addition to an active home. He weighs in around 25lbs and is about 5 months old.

Marge's tail is non-stop except when she passes out and starts snoring. She is a love and always makes friends.

MARGE:ADOPTED! Happy! Happy! Happy! That's how Marge's foster home describes her! Marge brings the fun and excitement to the party! Marge is eager to please with a willingness to learn new things. Within minutes she can pick up on a new request or training exercise (if you have a delicious treat in your hand). She is certainly super smart! She loves getting all of her rope toys out of the toy box and showcasing how much fun she can have with each one.

She loves tennis balls but she isn't sure what exactly to do with them yet. Marge gets along well with her foster dog sisters. Marge is around 6 months old, so will need a family that will continue training and teach her what she can and can't chew of course. Potty training is going well too. Marge weighs around 25lbs but is still growing.

ANGELO - ADOPTED! - He is a very special boy! Why? Well this little guy survived longer than most at Animal Control as the staff and volunteers all loved him. He spent months living in a kennel, but he still got up and greeted everyone that walked by with a waggy tail; he never gave up hope that his turn would come to get out of there! The volunteers would shower him with love and take him for walks, but unfortunately no one showed any interest in him. His patience was finally rewarded and PPR was able to offer him a chance to move north and find a new family! He, of course, is a really sweet and friendly boy - gets on fine with other dogs, loves to play and most of all loves to be petted and give little wet kisses. Apple Fritter, Bear Claw, Cream Puff and Honey Bun, are our Donut Crew! 4 adorable puppies that were dropped off at the shelter - another unwanted litter. They are social little girls that love to be around adults and kids. Of course, they are going to get bigger and as we have no idea on their parentage, they could end up on the medium or even large size when fully grown. They love to play, of course and then it's time for a nap!. As with all puppies, they need lots of love, patience and training in general to grow up and be a great dog that you can be proud of. Please consider your decision to bring in a puppy very carefully! Puppies have sharp little teeth, so have lots of things chew toys handy!

ANTOINETTE! ADOPTED! What a doll! With her pretty markings, she is just adorable! Her personality is just as beautiful. She is as precious as they come. Friendly to people and dogs, and very sweet. She weighs just 15lbs, so is a perfect size to snuggle with too! Her ears are just so soft and she loves you to pet her! We have no information as to how Antoinette became homeless - she was picked up by Animal Control and no owner came to find her. So we invited Antoinette to join PPR and will find her a great new family that will take much better care of her. We see a hint of Beagle and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and probably lots of other cute breeds too! She is about 2 yrs old.

DAISY MAE's puppies are available for adoption! Two boys and two girls, they are well socialized puppies as though they were born in the shelter, they have been raised in a loving foster home since they were a couple of days old. Annie Mae (adopted), Sally Mae (adopted), Jimmy Ray (available) and Billy Ray (adopted). They are 10 weeks old and weigh in the region of 10lbs - We expect them to grow to medium size dogs - Daisy Mae is around 35lbs and a Basset/Lab mix.

MOTLEY and AMIA (ADOPTED) are siblings that were sitting on death row when we met them at a crowded Animal Control. They stood little chance of making it out alive. They didn't know that -- they were happy and their little tails banged noisily against the side of their cage! We brought them into rescue and now they are available for adoption to loving families! They are around 4 months old and weigh 15lbs. They are both just the most happy go lucky pups, very friendly and playful and just want to be loved. We are happy Dustin joined our rescue as we know we will find him a new family where he can be spoiled and given lots of attention! He really likes to be held and is a great snuggle buddy. He has the cutest, floppy ears!

VUITTON- ADOPTED! - Such a cute little boy! He has the softest fuzzy coat! He is about 4 years old and maybe 8 little pounds? He loves to snuggle and be held and is a friendly little guy. He was turned in to the shelter by his owner who said he couldn't afford to keep him unfortunately. Vuitton won't take up much room on your couch and is a lovely little companion dog.

Titan ADOPTED! -- Yes, this handsome 1 year old boy would love to join your family. Titan is a Shar Pei Mix and weighs about 65 lbs right now. He is loving, likes all humans and does well with other dogs too. Titan is housebroken, knows some basic commands and does well on the leash too. Sounds like the whole package? It sure is! Titan is energetic and playful and would love a family that will provide him with sufficient exercise and guidance. He is a great dog and we would love for him to find a great home! SKYLAR! ADOPTED! She was dropped off at the pound with her puppies, who all got adopted. Poor Skylar retreated to the back of the kennel, just so frightened with all the chaos going on around her and without the comfort of her little ones anymore. Skylar is a sweet girl and very affectionate once she gets to know you but does present as shy and will need an owner that will appreciate that and have patience with her. We think a quieter kind of household without kids would suit her best. She takes a while to warm up to visitors and a busy home would not suit her.

Skylar is enjoying life with her foster family and they just adore her! This is what they tell us! 'Skylar is so amazing and there can’t be enough good said about her. This girl is a real honey hound! She could be a Corgi cross with maybe some Manchester Terrier? She’s a good size, around 17 pounds and completely house broken. Her personality is quiet, laid back, and content, and she’s not much of a barker. She loves tummy rubs, cuddling, giving kisses, and going for walks. She gets along great with her foster dogs, but is a little fearful of new dogs that come in at first. . She is learning some basic obedience and her foster parents are working on helping her overcome her fears. Someone will be extremely lucky to have her in their life, her eyes alone could melt your heart into a puddle on the floor. She’s worth it!'

AMBER & STOUT ADOPTED! Ok, we know it isn't easy to find a home for a pair, and we will separate them if needed, but we had to give these girls a shot at staying together.
They were found together by the animal control, running the streets as a pair. Amber, the gold girl, is the more shy of the two, and she looks to her buddy Stout, the little black girl, for confidence. Stout is about 15lbs, has the cutest little stubbed tail -ADORABLE! They are both doing marvelously well in their foster home, get on with other dogs (obviously) and ride well in the car. They are also crate trained. Both girls are around a year old and are pretty wonderful. Do you have room for two girls in your life? If you only have room for one, that's ok too -they just want to be home!

Neiman Marcus - ADOPTED! - we just love this boy! Fun loving, happy, affectionate, friendly, charming, just oozing with personality - the list just goes on and on! He's a real snuggle bug and just loves to be petted (and belly rubs) and curl up in your lap! He walks nicely on the leash and loves to go walking, which is good as NM is a tad on the chunky side right now and needs to lose a pound or two! He does fine with other dogs and seems to leave the cats alone. He is a long haired, black and white dachshund mix, and he's about 5 years old. We think this happy boy just deserves a new family that will appreciate him and spoil him for the rest of his life!

JUANITA ADOPTED! has all the Beagle personality in a smaller package! At just 15lbs, we call her a 'pocket' beagle! She is such a happy girl, she can entertain herself with toys for a long time and loves to hide them around the house and then 'find' them later!

ADOPTED! Fluffy and funny Reginald is a very cute, silky soft boy looking for a forever family. Poor Reginald found himself homeless in a crowded shelter but luckily PPR saw him, loved him and took him with us. He is very sweet, adorable (do we even need to spell that out?) and ready for you to take him home. He is medium energy, housetrained, good with other dogs and kids, ignores the cats -- you get the idea - just a great family dog!

ADOPTED! Good things come in small packages which is absolutely true for our dear Warren. He is a shortie lowrider (always one of our first picks) and about 2 years old. He only weighs about 30 lbs making him compact and lovable. Warren loves to hang out with other dogs and has great house manners. During the first night at this fosters mom's house (who by the way is VERY smitten with this lovebug) he slept peacefully right on her feet soaking up the love. Warren is also good with kids. MILO ADOPTED! - This adorable little boy looks like a fox! With his bushy tail that never stops wagging, he really is so cute! Friendly guy that is going to love to accompany you on walks about town, or wherever you want to take him. He can keep himself occupied for a long time, tossing it in the air and running after it (of course, he would be even more happier if you throw it for him and he will bring it right back to you)! PHILLIP ADOPTED-- A fun little guy, heart of gold and huge ears that he never quite grew into! There are always chihuahuas in need when we go to the shelter and on this visit unfortunately they had just taken in a bunch of chis from an owner that was cited for having too many animals. So of course, PPR invited Phillip, Dustin and Azalea to join our rescue.
