ERIC BONESTREET ADOPTED stole the show when our volunteers went to the shelter to check out new recruits! He really knows how to dazzle his suitors! Eric has a great demeanor and seems to of been really loved and cared for.
We can't believe his owners never found him at the pound! His foster family tells us: He is such a good boy, loves dogs as well as cats, he loves cuddles, and absolutely loves all his new toys. Loves to play and cuddle too! He has a cute short stature and a forever lab puppy look. We can’t wait to see the lucky family who lands this dreamboat!

The KARDOGSHIAN puppies! KIM,
ROB, KOURTNEY & KHLOE ALL ADOPTED 3 girls and 1 boy, all wanting to love, cautiously wagging their tails when they meet you. They love to play with toys and their doggie friends! They are older puppies so will need a family ready to continue their training as they spent a good part of their early months stuck in doggie jail. They are doing great in their respective foster homes, and are sweet and friendly. They would do well in a home with another dog to help with the confidence. |

JUSTIN HEARTLEY ADOPTED found himself brought to the scary shelter after being a lost dog for a while. The staff asked us to meet him. He was deemed rescue only as he was just too scared to go out on the adoption floor. Poor Justin just shook like a leaf and wanted to be snuggled by our volunteers. We could tell he needed our help and we know that he will blossom once he gets into a home settling.. Just look at the worry in his eyes! Justin Heartley is ready to win over your heart! No little kids for Justin please.

FREDDIE FURMAN ADOPTED is what we call a true chi! And our chihuahua lovers will know what that means! Freddie is as loyal as they come to his person and you should be prepared for all of the snuggles, kisses and love you can handle! Freddie’s foster parents say he has a big personality in his tiny 8lb body! He loves to snuggle under blankets, snuggle in bed at night and always wants to be on your lap. He gets along great with dogs of all sizes, but we think he would be fine with or without doggy siblings. Freddie really does not like children though, so no young kids for this home run hitter.

PIXIE ROSE ADOPTED is a sweet older puppy who found herself in doggie jail along with Spot! Pixie is a love, tail wagging and friendly. Her foster mom tells us: Pixie is the sweetest little girl ever. Very timid and shy, but loves to cuddle and to just be held. She’s been great with my dog. Great with people (even though she’s scared). Loves to give kisses and loves belly rubs. She would be a great addition to any home 💕

SPOT PAWZ ADOPTEDis so adorable with his cute split face look - half black, half white! So handsome! How can you resist that puppy dog face? He is a sweet little guy who was surrendered to the shelter along with Pixie Rose and they look to be related. He presents as a tad shy for a few seconds and then reverts to a tail wagging, friendly little guy.

MELORIA HAIRDON ADOPTED was someone's baby for several years until the human babies came along. Her owner said they had her as a puppy for several years but now she doesn't like the busy environment of kids, and nipped at the 4 yr old. Off to the pound she went! So Meloria was happy and loved until life got too hectic. She is looking for a quieter home with no kids and someone that will spoil her and give her all the attention she was used to. Her family was obviously too busy to take care of her and she has some skin allergies. Some good nutrition, grooming and love and she will soon be as good as new!

KATE: ADOPTED Where are all our big dog lovers! KATE is a big ol' teddy bear. She’s sweet, cuddly, and soft. Her foster family tells us: Kate is gentle and kind, great with cats, other dogs, and kids! She walks great on a leash and if you have a fenced in space will also go out and take care of business on her own. She is housebroken and loves car rides. Her favorite is to drop off and pick my son up from school.
Kate is pretty big but gentle. She enjoys playing with our dog and allows the cats to play with her (tails are tempting). Although I think she would prefer the quiet life, she has no issues with kids.

PRISCILLA PAWSLEY ADOPTED is a beautiful young lady with the prettiest of eyes. Her foster mom tells us: Loves children and other dog's. Crate trained and sits for her food dish. Likes long walks, car rides her toys. Wants to be a lap dog too! Priscilla gives the best kisses, is appropriately playful for her age, and very treat motivated and ready to learn lots of new things. She enjoys playing with her canine foster brother - Ty. How rewarding it's going to be to give this a girl a new home and watch her blossom! She is ready to learn some commands as it doesn't seem like anyone has spent any time teaching her commands like sit.

HAYDEN PUPETTIERIE! ADOPTED This sweet and loving girl available to adopt now! She is an older pup that is friendly to everyone, including other dogs. Hayden had a home, she was loved and happy, but unfortunately due to a death in the family, Hayden has come back to us. Her foster mom tells us: Hayden is wonderful and sweet, loves my dogs and kids. Completely house trained and crate trained. Super smart, she knows how to sit and wait for her food and does good on a leash. She loves to play and would be happiest with another playful dog in the family.

JASON SITEIKIS is a very sweet boy that loves to play with his doggie friends. He's adorable with shortie legs. A typical puppy, he plays hard and then needs a nap to recharge! He is very friendly and ready to find a fun family that is ready for the responsibility of a puppy!

MANNY BALLGADO ADOPTEDis a perfect gentleman! Manny walks great on a leash and has a great cool calm and collected demeanor. His foster mom tells us "He's a doll"! He was shy at first but now he has settled nicely into the routine. He's sweet, mellow, good with other dogs and is house and crate trained too!

Yo quero CHACO BELL! ADOPTEDHe is simply the cutest little thing with his scrunchy face, curly tail and shorty legs! He also has the cutest little underbite! Chaco is a very sweet and happy man who loves to play with his toys and his dog friends! Chaco has a very active mind and would love a family that can help him keep busy. He plays very well with his foster siblings of all sizes so another playful dog in the family would make him the happiest! Chaco sometimes forgets he isn’t in charge and needs someone to keep up his training to help him understand his place. When he is done playing and having the zoomies, he curls up at your feet in a little ball!

SHIA LAYBEOUF ADOPTED is just a cutie patootie. From his adorable little stature to his curly tail, Shia clearly is a looker! His foster mom tells us: He loves to be with people and is up for anything, from a leisurely 2 mile walk, a park visit where he loved the kids, or truly, the snuggle is his favorite, and he will curl up next to you and relax! He is unphased by either of my dogs, no interest except for a butt sniff when we go out in the backyard!

NOLAN BOWLD ADOPTED is a cute little guy! We met him at the shelter along with his friend Sean. They had been surrendered to Animal Control from a neglectful situation as their owners were no longer able to care for them properly. Nolan is outgoing and friendly and playful. His foster mom tells us: He is a sweet boy. Housetrained. Needs a lap. Always wants to be touching you. Good with cats and dogs.

DAKOTA FURNING ADOPTED is one lucky girl for sure. Well we know all our rescues are lucky to be saved, but Dakota spent a long while at Animal Control and found herself next on the euthanasia list! One of the volunteers offered to foster her and she got her ticket out of there. Her foster mom tells us: Dakota is a smartie, energetic, a sleepy head in the morning, loves balls and laps equally, and likes other dogs (not sure about cats). One of her most endearing traits is how happy she is to meet new people. Loves everyone. She likes to talk to you and most definitely loves her food.
Unfortunately Dakota stood little chance of being adopted as she tested positive for heart worms. It's expensive to treat and most adopters are unwilling to take on the extra expense which is in the hundreds of dollars. Dakota has now completed her treatment and is ready to find her new family! Could that be yours?

MARY KATE, ASHLEY AND ELIZABETH HOWLSEN ALL ADOPTED are 3 of the sweetest pups you could ever hope to meet! They came into the shelter as part of an unwanted litter of 8. Their siblings got adopted but after a couple of weeks when these 3 babies were yet again unwanted by adopters, Animal Control said come and get them! They have been in foster homes in GA, having a great time learning what life is like to be loved and wanted!
The girls are around 10 - 12 weeks old and weigh 15 - 18 lbs. We assume they could be on the large side when fully grown. Please consider your decision very carefully if you are interested in adopting one of these cuties! Puppies are a big commitment and require a lot of time and patience. We will want to know you have a plan in place for training.

She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body- loves other dogs, doesn’t bother the cats in her foster home- if she is afraid of anything, she simply retreats to her open crate, which she sees as her home-base. Despite having little socialization in her life up until now, she will walk on a leash pretty nicely! Food is her love language- you can win her over with it, and if it’s in the offing, she will try so hard to be brave! She’s a total heartbreaker and head turner and is going to be an amazing family member for the right people. What she needs: Another social dog in the home Patient, positive people A large crate to use as home-base This young lady is so responsive and rewarding to work with! She’s got a great future to look forward to and she hopes it might be with YOU! Our hearts just went out to them when we saw how scared they were there. Truffle will need a patient owner to help her with her confidence and another confident dog is a requirement in her new home.

WINNIE MAE ADOPTED .is a beautiful hound mix who is going to make a family really happy! Winnie is playful, yet gentle & wonderful with children and dogs of all sizes. She was in a foster home with cats, but is a playful chaser. WINNIE's foster mom tells us: A little shy with humans at first, but that all changed when she met my dogs! She’s housetrained AND crate trained, gentle and loving. We're working on leash walking and basic manners, but she already fits in perfectly. Best if she went to a home with another fun loving pup to show her the good life

TY PAWRELL ADOPTED not only has those funny long floppy ears but he has a great personality! He is just adorable and a fun guy! Our volunteers met Ty and knew he was destined to join our rescue! Ty did great with one of our kid volunteers and got along good with other dogs. He is a really nice boy, doesn't seem to be too energetic either. Would make a fantastic companion.

VIOLET ORLAN ADOPTED is just too adorable for words. Ears up? Ears down? She has total control over them! The shelter staff thought she was darling too and made sure to mention her to us! Violet was picked up with a swollen paw. The shelter vet was able to take care of that and once she was all better, she transferred to boarding. She did present as a tad shy at the shelter but soon warmed up especially when treats were involved! She is ready to start her new life with a new family that will show her that life is going to be all good now.

SEAN BONES ADOPTED is a sweetie for sure and he has that adorable scruffy look going on so we know he won't be available for long! He found himself taken to the shelter with his friend Nolan as their owner was not able to care for them and they were being neglected. Sean loved the attention he got from our volunteers who met him at the shelter so we imagine he will be a real cuddle bug once he settles in his new home. Like Nolan, walking on a leash is new to him so his new owner should be prepared to work with him on that.

EMMA LOU! ADOPTED What a sweetheart! She is a nice medium size girl that is friendly to everyone, loved playing with the other dogs in the play yard and has a tail that is in contact motion wagging away! Her foster mom tells us: . Emma is housetrained, good with people and dogs and walks on a leash. Sleeps in an open crate and knows basic commands. She look like a mini yellow lab and is just adorable. She is a great snuggler!

MILO PETIMIGLIA ADOPTED is one of the most 'handsomest' boys you can ever hope to meet! Just look at that smile! He is a happy, joyful guy that didn't let a stay at the animal control get him down. He waited patiently to get noticed but unfortunately this time of the year adoptions really slow down and we were surprised to find he was still waiting. PIPPA MIDDLETAIL's ADOPTED world was turned upside down when her owner passed and there was no family to take her. Off to the pound she went. Pippa was not able to make it onto the adoption floor due to being so scared at the shelter and needed rescue to get her out of there. OATMEAL! ADOPTED Look at those ears! How can you miss this adorable little guy with ears like that! A staff member at the animal control asked us to please consider this cutie. He was shivering in his crate so they took him into the office and saw what a sweet and friendly boy he is! So of course we said yes! His foster mom tells us: Oatmeal is a sweet boy who would love a small doggie companion and an owner who will spoil him as he so deserves! He is housetrained, gentle, and skinny. He is not a fan of the crate at night but when allowed to sleep in the bedroom (on the dog beds with the 2 resident dogs) he was perfect and slept all night.

ANDY BEGNARD! ADOPTED Give Andy treats and he will be your best friend forever. He takes them very gently too! He certainly enjoyed the attention from our volunteers. Andy was a lost dog and the people that found him went ahead and kept him for a few months. They then decided that he was not a good fit for their busy home, said he doesn't like kids, and they brought him to the shelter. We would prefer a nice less busy home for him, no kids obviously, and someone looking for a loving companion. His foster family tells us: Andy has plenty of energy but also likes to snuggle. He definitely loves to tuck his head into your side & lie down and loves ear rubs too. He loves to be outside & walks so nicely on the leash. Such a sweet lil guy!

PUCK! ADOPTED Puck was another down on his luck guy that found himself stuck in doggy jail. Yes his toenails are painted blue and we don't know who did that. Maybe he was a lost dog for a while and his family never found him. We will never know. His foster mom says he is sweet but does present as timid and is a shy dog that will need a patient owner to show him how good life can be. He is housetrained. Another confident dog in the house is a requirement as that helps him feel safe. A quieter environment with no little kids running around would also suit him best.

ALEC and STEPHEN BARKWIN ADOPTED were found wondering around a park, suspected of being abandoned by their owners. It’s so sad when dogs are just dropped off and left to fend for themselves. Understandably, they presented scared and shy in the shelter but to be expected with their sad story.

GLORIA BALLGADO: ADOPTED Well this girl really tugged at our heart strings when we saw her at the shelter. Gloria came into the shelter severely neglected, full of mats and with gooped over eyes. The shelter vet treated her eye, ear, skin infections and staff fell in love with this poor soul - we did too! Gloria has been resting in a foster home and her mom tells us she is as quiet as a church mouse and really just wants a soft bed or lap. She is very low energy and low key. Gloria gets along fine with dogs and wants to be friends with the cats. She needs time to grow back her fur so sweaters are helping keep her nice and warm. She seems to be house/crate trained and is quite content as long as she has a soft bed. Gloria does need daily eye drops which seems to be common with dogs of her breed. We are not sure of her age.

DARLA SPOTTINGTON! ADOPTED What a pretty girl! Check out those mismatched eyes! Shy, sweet, tail waggy girl who gives the best kisses. Just wants to be loved. Our volunteers gave her an A plus! Said she is a nice medium size and certainly seemed to be more on the calm side for a young girl. Her foster family tells us: Darla sleeps through the night in her crate, goes outside to do her business and other than stealing a shoe, hasn’t shown much puppy behavior. Loves all the dogs. Oh, and she is so beautiful!

This precious girl is JIGGY! ADOPTED She found herself in a very overcrowded animal control in Atlanta. She was a stray and it was a good thing she left home as her previous owner had never adjusted her collar as she grew and it was imbedded in her neck. The shelter vet immediately removed it, cleaned the wound and then posted her for urgent rescue! Of course, we said yes. Jiggy is so friendly and loving, is good with other dogs, she also paid no attention to the cat she was introduced to. She is looking for a family that can spend time with her, teach her some manners as she is young and we don't think she has ever had any guidance. She is very playful and would love a doggie buddy - she does jump in her excitement to say Hi but that is easily corrected with training. She already knows sit!

CHAPO SITASPELL ADOPTED was surrendered with multiple dogs (Jodie Furster being one of them) when his family did not want them and could not afford them anymore. This boy broke our hearts as he shook and hid in the back of his cage. Our volunteer sprung at the opportunity to take him home and shower him with love. She tells us that he is shy but good around her dogs. He walks nicely on a leash, is crate trained and sleeps quietly through the night. With some TLC he will soon come out of his shell. Chapo is a Velcro dog and wants to be with his person, so if you are looking for a full time companion, look no further.

ARIAL SPINTER ADOPTED is just a darling young girl that caught the attention of our volunteers on a recent visit to the shelter! Apart from being very pretty, she is sweet and friendly, and greets everyone nicely. Her foster mom tells us: Arial is pure love. She wants to love you and be loved soooo much! She loves to sit on your lap and melt into you....and starts snoring 😆 She is quiet (so far), gentle and playful. She has been very friendly and playful toward our dog Ella (who has not warmed up to her yet). Arial gets your intention well even though she seems to know only a few commands. So far no accidents. She is very food motivated and I think she will learn fast. She is so pretty and silky to touch, and a perfect snuggle buddy! She can be a little shy upon first meeting.

This sweetie is PAN- ADOPTED She found herself in the scary shelter. She burrowed herself under the blanket the shelter staff gave her and tried to pretend she wasn't there. Poor baby. We are happy to say that now she is in a foster home she is doing so well. She is a tail wagging, sweetie. So friendly and she loves to be held.

LIZA PAWNELLI! ADOPTED We are sure this little girl has got your attention! She is beyond adorable with her scruffy coat and little beard! The world can be very scary for Liza and she will need a patient owner to show her that it's not that scary after all. Once she is comfortable, she is a love bug though, and her foster mom was lucky enough to spend time with her and see this side of her. She is young, a puppy, and so she loves to play with toys, chew on bones and play with her doggie friends. In fact another dog in the home would be best to show her the ropes. A less busy house with no kids would suit Liza best. She is smart and already learned to sit for treats and will sit immediately if she thinks there is a chance for a treat. She's not a fan of carrots but loves just about everything else including yummy apples!

She is just the sweetest little dog there is and a great netflix buddy. Housetrained too! Jodie was surrendered to the shelter with several other dogs as owner couldn't afford to take care of them.

RUBIE STARR! ADOPTED Rubie was fun to have around when everyone was home during the lock down. A puppy kept everyone busy and entertained. Unfortunately now back to school and work, no one had time for her and off to the pound she went. Rubie is a happy and friendly girl, and, of course, she is gorgeous to look at. She is young, and has plenty of puppy energy. She would benefit from an experienced dog or shepherd owner as she doesn't seem to have learned much with her previous family, especially in the manners department. She gets very excited to see people and loves to jump up to meet them. As she is a large dog, she needs to learn to greet people politely LOL! We are saying no little kids or small pets for Rubie.
Rubie is around 18 months old. She is presently close to 45 skinny pounds as she lost weight during her stay at animal control. Her foster family is working on getting some weight on her.

WINONA ROLLDER ADOPTED is another adorable, shortie legged, low rider that needed a helping hand to get out of the shelter! She is a social butterfly, loves to say hi to everyone. She is so happy, her tail never stops wagging and she has a beautiful shiny black coat now! It wasn't always that way - when her owner surrendered her to the shelter her coat was in poor condition. Some good nutrition and meds, made all the difference!

SAMMIE PAWVIS ADOPTED is just a happy go lucky little guy. He is very friendly with a tail that wags and wags when he sees you! He is a perfect size, not too big, not too small! Sammie seems to have had some training as he certainly sits pretty quick when he sees the treat bag. He's young and appropriately active for his age! Sammie had the honor of being chosen by the shelter to attend an off site adoption event and had a great time meeting everyone! Unfortunately it was a slow day and only one dog found their new home. Back to the overcrowded shelter he went, so of course, we invited him to join our rescue.

Our volunteers thought he he had such a great personality and just felt sad when they heard he was a “covid puppy”. A bit shy at first, once he warms up he is all love (true of people and other dogs). Would do well in a home with some activity- he likes to go for walks but also loves his naps! Sweet, goofy, playful, and cuddly, this guy will be a great companion. Ben would be happiest with a doggie friend in his new home and this is a requirement. KINSEY ROSE: ADOPTED This is what her foster mom tells us: Kinsey is still waiting for her Chihuahua family. She is super easy, probably easiest foster I've had. She will not be warm and happy when she first meets you. She needs time to feel safe and trust. But once she does, she will give you all the love, kisses and companionship she can. She dances on her hind legs when super excited to see you. She's velcro . Her sleep schedule is your sleep schedule. Probably not the best with younger kids, not because she's nippy, but because they can be loud and unpredictable so she'll hide. She would do excellent with a senior. I call her a cat-dog

VANILLA NICE! ADOPTED What a cutie patootie! This little nugget was a little overwhelmed at the shelter so one of our volunteers brought him home to foster. She tells us he has been a great houseguest, he's a pretty chill dog, quiet, house and crate trained, walks nicely on a leash and takes treats gently! Sounds like he would be good for just about any situation! He would enjoy another playful dog as the dogs in his foster home don't want to play with him! He's young and enjoys his toys and chewies.

LADY BELLE ADOPTED is the total package! Not only does she have those long gorgeous ears but her coat is as soft as silk! Poor Lady Belle landed herself on the rescue only list when she was hit by a car and had a suspected broken jaw. Her family never came looking for her so we swooped in when one of our foster families said yes! Lady Belle’s foster family describes her as a dreamboat. She is house trained, likes other dogs and reaches expert level in the snuggle category! Lady Belle is a Velcro dog and wants to always be with her people so if you do not want a full time loyal companions, she is not your girl! If you are not available to snuggle, then you will find her cuddled up with a doggie friend. Another small dog to be her friend would be ideal! Lady Belle presents as shy and seems to be a little bit of afraid of kids, so no little ones for her please.

Their foster mom tells us: These two tiny gentlemen have a very strong bond with each other, but love their people just as much. They lay on the couch all day, love belly kisses, and snuggle up very tightly with you. Will is a little more outgoing and warms up quicker than David, but David loves his treats so he isn’t shy for long! They get along great with dogs and could probably learn to enjoy the company of a friendly cat. The boys are extremely small, only 5-6 pounds, so we ask for no young children for them.

DOMINO ADOPTED is a last minute addition to our transport this week! He is a very friendly, and sweet, puppy and, of course, absolutely adorable. Domino's owner thought she wanted a cute dog to carry around and show off, but she bought a puppy instead who is playful, chewing and needs more attention that she is able to give. So please put thought into your decision to adopt a playful puppy. Domino is good with dogs, both big and small in his foster home and is working on house training.

BRISCO ADOPTED is ready to give his heart away to a person who wants it, and who wouldn't? He's a sweetheart! Brisco is super handsome with that little bit of scruff going on! ABE LICKOLN ADOPTED is the cutest little guy! We don't know why he decided to go walkabout and leave home, or why his owner didn't come to the shelter to find him. We invited him to join our rescue and we know we can find him a loving new home that he will never want to leave! Abe is sweet and friendly and loved all the attention he got from our volunteers. Now he has settled into his foster home, we have learned that he is housetrained and good in a crate. He is adorable and a happy little companion that gets alone with everyone!

KOBE- ADOPTED Oh yes he is adorable for sure! But Kobe found himself surrendered to the shelter as his owner had no time for him. He's young and energetic and needs an owner that can give him the attention he needs as it seems he hasn't had much guidance in his life. Another playful dog would be perfect as he loves to play with his doggie friends. He also thinks he is a retriever and plays a great game of fetch. Kobe can be a bit shy when meeting people, in fact this meant a longer stay at the shelter as he was not a happy camper with all the noise and confusion and so he was put in a quieter area and not in adoptions. Once we heard he needed rescue, we whisked him off to a loving foster home!

ROSCOE PAWS- ADOPTED We really should have named him 'Happy' as he is such a happy, tail wagging, bright eyed little guy. His foster mom tells us: Roscoe is a great little guy, house trained and even rides well in the car! He is a little shy when meeting new people but bonds quickly. Poor Prince Hairy is another “covid puppy.” Not enough time for a puppy now that he’s older and family is back to school/work so off to the pound he went. PAUL McPAWRTNEY ADOPTED is an all around stand up guy. He comes sporting those long hound ears and the most adorable nubby tail! His whole body wiggles instead of a tail, we think it’s just adorable. Paul loves to snuggle and he gets along great with dogs of all ages and sizes, loved our kid volunteers and though he is playful, he's not crazy playful! His foster mom tells us: Paul is a great all round happy dog! He loves kids, adults and dogs. He would be a great running partner or agility dog. He’s a little rough around the edges because he hasn’t had any training but we are working on that. He’s crate-trained and housetrained.

JOHN LAYGEND ADOPTED is going to sing his way into your heart and will melt it with those soulful eyes. John came into the shelter with a severe flea infestation and missing patches of fur and a few sores from scratching. Such a gentle little guy, it was clear he needed a rescue The PPR volunteers swooped right in to help get him vetted and comfortable. He was lucky enough to find a foster home in GA and his foster mom tells us that he is very timid and his new family will need to give him time to settle as he adjusts to a new home. John was a stray so he may have been on his own for a while as he is on the skinny side. Some good yummy food and patience and he will soon realize that life can be good from now on.

JOE & NICK BONEAS: BOTH ADOPTED These darling boys, along with their brother Kevin, were found abandoned on the side of a road in rural north Georgia. They were in bad shape with hair loss and needed immediate rescue. Kevin had a broken leg and is not available for adoption at this time. They have been in a loving foster home for several weeks and are now ready for adoption. They are very friendly and social pups. They are super smart too. They learned to sit for a treat in no time. They are doing great with crate training and walking on a leash and sleep quietly overnight. Of course they are puppies that love to play and explore but after a play session they settle nicely for a nap. We are looking for adopters that understand the responsibility of raising a puppy and have the time and patience to do so. These guys are in the teething stage and have sharp baby teeth. They think everything is theirs to chew!

SID PAWSAR ADOPTED is a handsome dude that stole the heart of one of our GA volunteers who is also a dog walker at the shelter. He is a handsome boy with those beautiful eyes! She watched him progress from being scared and having to be carried out to the dog yard, unable to walk on a leash to blossoming into a confident dog happy to accompany her outside. Because of his shyness, adopters were passing him by. Of course she offered to foster him and once she got him home, he was so happy and grateful to be out of the shelter. She saw such a sweet and loving dog that just wants to love and be loved. Sid's tail is always wagging now, he enjoys bones and treats which he takes very gently. He is more on the submissive side and does fine with the other dogs in the foster home. We are so happy that Sid got his second chance at life and now will make some family very happy indeed.

She is a great snuggle and couch buddy! A great lap dog! She is a beautiful chocolate brown which is hard to always see in photos. She is super smart, super fun, super friendly and ready to be someone's super new addition.

CATHERINE ZETA-BONES ADOPTED knows how to use those hound puppy dog eyes, there is no doubt about it! How can you resist? When we saw her looking through the cage door, she already bought her ticket into rescue. Catherine came in with Renee Rollweger and the shelter was told she was her 6 month old pup. Their owner had too many pets so off to the pound they went. Both dogs were underweight and so we are glad the owner surrendered them so they can be properly cared for. Catherine had a hard time during her stay, this was likely the first time she was away from her mother so she was understandably scared and worried. We just know once she feels secure and loved again she is going to shine bright like a diamond!
We’d love to see her go to a great home with a loving and understanding family who will help her come out of her shell!

WHOOPIE ADOPTED is a very friendly and social puppy who just wants to snuggle and be loved. She is currently 16 pounds at 6 months so we think she could be on the smaller to medium size when fully grown. She has a beautiful soft coat with brindle highlights! Whoopie's foster mom tell us: She is so sweet with kids, dogs of all sizes and cats. She is energetic, playful and affectionate. At night, she will snuggle up against you under the covers and sleeps throughout the night.
Whoopie came into the shelter with her brother Bucky who has already found his new family. Whoopie is looking for a family that is ready for the fun of bringing a puppy home but also understands the responsibility of training a young dog. BRODY HOWLY ADOPTED is a cute little wrinkly faced man who is ready to find his retirement home! Brody is a senior but you wouldn't know it! He is very sweet, friendly and happy go lucky. Brody's owner was moving into rented accommodation and reluctantly had to give him up as there was a pet limit and he had too many. Brody's foster mom tells us: Brody is so adorable. Likes chasing tennis balls and snoozing in his crate. Affectionate with everyone. Easy peasy little guy.

UGGIE and ROSA de WEENIE ADOPTED are two precious pups that unfortunately found themselves taken to the pound when their owner passed. They had to stay for a stray hold to give the family an opportunity to reclaim them but unfortunately no one was able to. Of course we welcomed them to our rescue. Their foster mom tells us Uggie and Rosa are typical dachshunds. They are your shadow. They kill you with kisses and don't even think you can sit or lay down without them joining you. They love everyone. They love to bury. They bond quickly. Quiet unless they are protecting of outside noises. Rosa is the boss! They are sweet, friendly and loving and we think they are around 3 years old.

LULU DOGSLEY- ADOPTED found her way into rescue when her family couldn’t provide the love and attention she deserves. They took her in during the quarantine period and unfortunately now everyone is busy and Lulu spends too much time alone. Lulu is the definition of a Velcro dog. If you want a 14lb girl who will be loyal and always by your side or on your lap, she is the perfect dog for you! Lulu loves belly rubs and is looking for an owner who is wanting to give plenty of them! She is only 2.5 so she would love plenty of walkies and fun too! LOUIE- ADOPTED is very fun little guy! He has tons of energy and zooms around the house with his toys. His foster mom says he’s played with every toy in the house! Louie found himself in a scary shelter and he started to shut down. He got a second chance with us but his new family needs to understand that he’s very anxious around people he doesn’t trust. Louie needs to learn how to meet strangers better and he’s hoping his new family can help with that! Once you are in his “inner circle,” you are his best friend! Louie also adores other dogs of all sizes and would make a great companion for another playful dog. He loves his crate, he’s very quiet and happy all night sleeping in there. No young children or cats for Louie please.

DEUCES- ADOPTED is single and ready to mingle! He is a bit of an introvert on the first date, but he will soon warm up once he knows you’re serious about becoming his new family! He is an adorable petite hound mix boy that has had bad luck in his young life and already made two visits to the pound. First time he was reclaimed but then recently he was back again when his family had to move and he wasn't invited. Deuces is as sweet as pie, loves to snuggle and is ready to find his forever home! He has an old injury to his snout but we have no information on how that came about.

Of course when we first saw Mariah we thought what a stunning dog she was but our hearts broke when she showed us how scared she was in doggy jail. We knew she needed to get out of that scary place to flourish! Her foster Dad says she is a great girl, good with other dogs. She is playful and has plenty of puppy energy and so another doggie playmate would be good. She's an older puppy so a family that will continue training as she is super smart and eager to please. We know she will shine like the superstar she is once she gets out into a loving home that will spend time showing her how good life can be. Mariah was found on a walkabout with her friend Iggy Pawzalea. We don't know why these two buddied up and decided to leave home.

DAISY MAIZIE ADOPTED is a cute little lady that loves to kiss! She is an expert kisser! She is very pretty too as you can see! Daisy has enjoyed being spoiled in her foster home and this is what we have learned about her and what kind of home would suit her best. Daisy is very playful, sweet and friendly. Likes to be with her people and gets along with the dogs in her foster home. She will do a little dance when she gets excited and she walks nicely on a leash so would be a good walking buddy. MONTY! ADOPTED Well this guy certainly attracts attention wherever he goes! What a looker! Monty is a young adult that is looking to join a fun, active family! He still has all that puppy love and energy! He is super friendly and immediately became a staff favorite while boarding in GA! He does like to jump up when greeting you and could do with some help with walking on a leash so his new owner should sign him up for a quick refresher course in manners. Monty found himself adopted from the pound but it didn't work out as a family member had allergies. Monty is ready to settle down and find his forever family now!

BEG RUTH - ADOPTED is a true home run hitter! Such a handsome lad with those freckles and mismatched eyes! Beg showed us that he not only loved other dogs but he knew commands such as sit and how to give paw! Clearly Beg Ruth was a loved boy but unfortunately his owners had too many pets and couldn’t give him the all of the things in life he deserves. They wanted a better life for him and we promised we would find him a family who can do that! Her foster mom tells us that she loves to get belly rubs and will move closer so you will keep on rubbing! She walks nicely on a leash and loves to be outside and will find a sunny spot to lie in. She seems to be potty and crate trained, and goes into her crate to nap. Maggie is fine with the other dogs in the house but not interested in playing. She prances around when she gets excited which is so cute!

TORIANA: ADOPTED Well this little love muffin captured one of our volunteer's heart when she saw her at the shelter sitting there looking so scared in her cage. She brought her home to foster and Toriana thanked her by being the perfect foster dog! A great combination of sweetness and playfulness. Toriana is young with a lot of energy. She plays a great game of fetch and loves squeaky toys. She also is very loving, is a wannabe lap dog, and will roll over for belly rubs. She would do well with another dog to play with too.

MISTY MAY ADOPTED came to us from her finder/owner wanting to help her live the best life. Poor Misty was abandoned at a campsite as a teenager by her family. The finders found her curled up in the fire pit that they had camped at and they knew she needed them! They took care of her and got her shots, and now she is ready for a real family to commit to her! Misty is an older pup and she has the energy to prove it! She is playful and sweet and loves to hang out with her people. Misty May would love to have another doggy companion to help with all of her energy.

She is super smart, loves treats and has already learned sit, lie down and go kennel (crate) while in foster. She loves to meet new people (especially kids) and get pets. Oh belly rubs are her favorite too. Filipa was born with a deformed front leg which had to be amputated. She did great after her surgery and gets around now just fine without the burden of her useless leg dragging her down!
Filipa would love a new family that is fun and ready to shower her with love! She would enjoy being included on family outings as she is such a social butterfly. She loves to run and play with her doggie friends, and is crate trained.
After spending time in foster, this is what would make Filipa happy.

STITCH ADOPTED is ready to find his new family! Stitch came into animal control with a badly neglected coat. He is now in a loving foster home and doing well. He’s been through a lot of change from being a lost dog, shelter, transport, foster home, so it takes him a little time for this guy to warm up and relax. His foster mom tells us: Give him some space and time and he will soon be looking to follow you anywhere. Once he knows you, he picks up his leash and prances around when you come into the room. He loves his toys and treats but isn’t a fan of grooming. He barks while in his crate but he has perfect house manners so there isn’t a need to crate him.
Stitch will need an owner that is familiar with the spaniel breed and the regular grooming he will require. No young kids for Stitch please.

He would do great in training class to learn the ropes.

KIBBLES:ADOPTED Well she sure is a cutie! And has a sweet personality too! Her tail is in constant motion and she loves meeting new people. She just adores to be pet and gives you kisses in return. In fact she will nudge you for more loving if you stop petting her! She is not a fan of the leash and we have to think her previous owner never took her for leashed walks. She will soon get the hang of that.

JACK TRICKOLSON ADOPTED is a great little guy who has been lucky enough to enjoy a loving foster home in GA. His foster mom tells us: Jack becomes attached to his humans, and would do really well with a family who is home a lot. He’s not a big fan of being crated, but is working on his house training manners. Jack enjoys sleeping in bed with his people and is really sweet. He’s nervous around new people and around kids who are not dog savvy. I think he would thrive in a home with older kids who understand his shy at first nature and/or adults who understand that too. Loud noises startle him, but he bounces back quickly. He gets along with dogs of all shapes and sizes, cats and his piggy foster sister. Nothing bothers him in the animal world it seems. Jack is a great young man who will thrive with consistency in his life and dedication to his further house training.

HEATH LAYGER - ADOPTED is a darling senior boy who unfortunately has lost his home when his owner passed and he was taken to the Animal Control. The same Animal Control where he was adopted from as a tiny puppy. There was little chance of him getting adopted again as people pass the seniors by. Heath needed our help and luckily a foster home was open to take him. His foster mom tells us he is an old soul, great companion, low key, happy to be by your side. Doesn't need to be crated when you leave, uses potty pads or goes outside to do his business. Heath is looking for a retirement home where he can hang out with his person and watch the world go by. He sleeps nicely on the bed at night and doesn't bother you to get up until you are ready.

MARIA PAWAPOVA ADOPTED is a sweet older soul who loves her nice warm bed and a lap to sit on. Her foster parents tell us: She is so gentle and easy going and her favorite spot during the day is in her dog bed in front of the window in the sun. Maria loves belly rubs and sunshine! She sleeps in her crate all night 10:30- 7:30 and doesn’t make a peep! I’m home during the day and she loves to hang out and follow me. Usually, around 2 pm I put her in the crate for a couple of hours so I can run errands, and Maria uses that time to nap!! 🥰🐾 She would do great in a family where someone works from home or is retired.

BENNY PAW JET ADOPTED is such a handsome lad! Look at his gorgeous brindle coat. Benny is a sweet boy, can be a tad shy upon first meeting, but soon warms up and is quite the people person. His foster mom tells us: Once he warms up to you, he turns into a big snuggle bug who is so loving and goofy. He would be chilling with you contently most of the time. He is completely house-broken. He loves other dogs and does well at dog parks. Because he is still very young with a good amount of energy, he needs regular exercise and consistent training on some of his puppyish behaviors. Benny is a very good-natured, smart, and social boy that loves to play with his doggie friends. In fact another dog in the home would be great and a fenced in yard also would suit him best. Benny has already started learning some commands and is crate trained. A family that is ready for the responsibility of continuing training would be perfect as he is treat motivated and eager to please! Older kids only just because he could be too much puppy for the very little ones.

DAVID BEGHAM: ADOPTED Everyone knows we love the black dog’s here at PPR.. so when we met David Begham and heard how he had black dog syndrome at the shelter, we knew we wanted to help! He was in the small dog/puppy room and totally overlooked as everyone fussed over the little puppies. Such an adorable little stature with a longer body, a chi weenie is our guess? Poor David was very nervous as most little dogs are at the shelter. We think once he gets settled into a home he will shine like a diamond!

House-broken and crate-trained, too! Not a single accident or marking in the house since he's been here. He's also a very handsome lad, with his beautiful brindle coat.

SELENA ROLLMEZ: ADOPTED This beautiful girl certainly has a face to fall in love with! We certainly did when we met her! She is sweet, friendly, and amazingly cool! She is on the submissive side and when she is not sure what to do, she belly crawls! And belly rubs are her favorite - she will roll over if she thinks there is a chance you will pet her! Thomas has been in foster for a few weeks so we could get to know him better. He is now ready to start looking for his forever home! This little man has quite the attitude and needs a patient owner that is willing to continue his socialization and training. Thomas is still learning how to interact with people appropriately. He would do best in a home with other dogs as he seems to enjoy the company of canine friends and is able to learn a lot from them. He loves to play fetch and is learning how to play with other dogs. Thomas is crate trained and house trained.
Thomas had a home and a family once. Unfortunately when a new baby came on the scene Thomas was dropped off at the pound. His coat had been neglected and our vet had to shave him down. It's growing back nicely now!

ANDY SITBURG ADOPTED is sweet and friendly. A little on the shy side upon meeting. Give him a few minutes (and maybe some treats) and you are his best friend though. Andy's foster mom tells us: Andy is dog friendly and seems to enjoy having another dog in the house, but I think he would do fine on his own as well. He seems to want to play but he is currently a little afraid of the toys. I left one out to see if he would get used to it. He is timid, although he likes to be pet and does not seem to be afraid of people. He seems to have a medium energy level. He has plenty of energy for activities but he is not always running around in the house. Andy is very polite on the leash and does not pull, although he could use some leash training to walk straight and not get distracted, etc.

NOODLE STRUDEL: ADOPTED My goodness look here! Have you ever seen such a cutie! Unfortunately no matter how cute, Noodle found himself at the scary shelter. Of course, he wasn't a happy camper and his behavior wasn't the best so our rescue was asked to take him. Now he has settled into his foster home and is much happier! He does the cutest little dance when he begs for food! He gets on great with the other dogs in the home and is playful. One of his favorite things is to sit and look out the window watching the world go by. We are saying no kids for Noodle and he does need an owner who can show him who is boss as he does like to get his own way!

GISELLE: ADOPTED At first glance you might have thought we had rescued an Ewok - but no this is GISELLE! Her foster mom tells us: Gisele could easily be a keeper. What a sweet soul. You can hardly tell she is in the house. I believe she is hard of hearing but she is always where there is food! She loves to just walk around the house and will plop down on the floor. House trained too and puts herself to bed at night in her doggie bed she sleeps in.

SHASTA: ADOPTED Animal control asked us if we could please take Shasta. She was very scared at the shelter and could not be made available for adoption. Rescue was her only way out.

GWEN STEFURNI ADOPTED is her name and FUN is her game! She loves chewies and toys and running around the fenced yard with the other dogs at her foster home. She walks on leash and is curious about everything. She has great obedience potential and the scruffiest beard! She has been good with the dogs and cats in her foster home and seems to have the groundwork for housebreaking. She settles in her crate when left home. Her teeth are sparkly white- so she’s on the younger side and has been happy to meet people of all sorts. Because she was initially very shy at the animal control, we would prefer she go to a home with older children.

MAX LUPAWDO ADOPTED found himself turned into the Animal Control by his owners because their human baby turned into a toddler. They said it was “too much” to have both and they didn't have time for him. Well we know we can find him a wonderful new family that will have time for him, to include him on family outings, and love him like he so deserves. He is a happy and friendly boy ready to go home NOW! His foster mom tells us: Max is a doll- house trained, knows his commands, great on the leash! And sooooo cute! Also putting up with a sassy terrier! He’s absolutely darling but Max will be happier in a home without little kids.

CHUNK ADOPTED is the kind of guy you just want to lounge with and enjoy the finer things in life with! He reminds us of a sweet Teddy Bear! Chunk is super laid back and walks like a true gentleman on a leash. His foster mom tells us: Chunk is adorable, calm, and extremely well behaved. He is dog friendly, likes to go on walks, and spends most of his time following me around or napping. He is not playful or energetic. He will make a perfect companion dog! If you are looking for a calm mature dog who is over his puppy stages, Chunk is your man! Chunk seems to of been very loved and cared for, so every one was really shocked when his owners didn’t find him when he came in as a stray! How could someone not be missing this hunk of a guy!

If cuteness could win a prize, Cruise would be in first place!! Cruise was made available to rescue only at the shelter. It was so scary for him and he was overwhelmed there. He is doing great now he is in a foster home and has forgotten all about his trip to the shelter. His foster mom says he is an overgrown puppy and will need a family committed to training.

Oh boy, this guy has got the looks and has happiness to spare! He is very affectionate, and his tail is in constant motion.

CHRISTINA PUPLEGATE ADOPTED is just a darling southern gal! She looks like a boxer puppy who just never grew! At nearly 7 months old, we think she is not going to get much bigger either! Christina loves getting snuggles - such a sweet soul. She may present a tad shy in new situations, but soon does ok. Good with dogs and cats.

JUDE PAW ADOPTED is a happy little guy who loves children, other dogs and cats. He’s house trained, crate trained and walks well on a leash. Jude came into the shelter with a bum rear leg that was dragging a little on the ground. Our vet said it needed to go and we agreed. Jude did great with the surgery and is so much happier without that leg. Don’t let his 3 legs fool you, he’s quick and it doesn’t stop him one bit! He runs like the wind now and will take the opportunity when a door is open so his new family needs to keep him safe and monitor doors!

They will cover you in kisses, love to play and snuggle. FRANKLIN D ROLLSEVELT ADOPTED is ready to find his new family! His foster mom tells us: Franklin is a great dog. Someone will be very lucky to take him home! . He is a very chill dog, he doesn’t play much and loves to snuggle on your lap. He sleeps quietly in his crate at night though probably would be happy to sleep on your bed too. He rides well in the car and loves to accompany you when you go out to take care of errands. Unfortunately his previous family didn't keep him on monthly heart worm prevention and surrendered him to the shelter. That was a good thing for Franklin as he has now received treatment.

JOHNNY and ROCKY ADOPTED are two precious little guys that are looking for a new family. They were headed to the shelter but luckily we were able to intercept them before they were surrendered as that would have been a scary experience for these little ones. This father and son duo are super bonded, and are looking for a home together. Both boys are extremely lovable and social with their people and each other. Rocky, the father, is about 5 years old. He’s a laid back guy that would love to hang out on your lap for hours. Johnny is Rocky’s son, and about 1 year old. He has plenty of energy to play and chase balls! When they aren’t playing, you can find them snuggled up together on a heating pad. They are amazing companions and joy to have in the home. Rocky and Johnny are house trained and crate trained.

JIM HAIRY ADOPTED was surrendered to the shelter by his owner who said he couldn't care for him anymore. That was obvious as poor Jim was one big furball. His coat was so matted down to his skin that our vet advised he had to be shaved down. This was not a decision taken lightly but Jim was suffering and so it was done while he was sedated for his neuter. What a shock that must have been when he woke up! Jim will need a nice new wardrobe of sweaters and coats to keep him warm.

Meet ALEX ROLLRIGUEZ! ADOPTED You are not going to meet a happier guy, we promise you that! Alex Rollriguez was quite the show off when our volunteers met him.. from running around with other doggy friends to insisting on big doggy hugs, we just loved this big goofy boy! Alex is a pup that is full of energy and playfulness. He loves to run around, play and have fun. He could learn some leash manners but seriously - this sweet boy will make someone really happy, as long as they spend some time and train him. Alex is now in a foster home and is having fun playing with the resident dogs. Alex came in to the shelter as a stray and everyone was shocked his family didn’t come find him! Obviously his previous family didn't realize what a gem he is. But their loss could be your gain if you are the lucky family that get's to take him home!

JOAN PAWFORD ADOPTED is just the cutest and sweetest girl around! She is very loving, happy and friendly! Joan loves, loves, loves treats and is happy to sit for them! She is playful and loves her toys! She may be an older girl, but with her 'frosting' maybe that is making her look older than she is! Joan has the typical 'terrier' personality, and people that love their terriers will know exactly what that means! She can be bossy with her doggie and kitty housemates. Her GA foster mom told us: We have 4 dogs and once she knew her place, she was great with them!! She deserves the best! She will give it, in return. Very affectionate!

DREW BURRYMORE! ADOPTED What a sweet face she has! Drew was a little timid when we met her at the shelter and didn't want to walk on a leash. She is probably going to present as shy when you meet her. Her foster mom says she is coming out of her shell nicely and is good with kids and cats. She was picked up as a stray and brought to Animal Control and when no owner came to reclaim her, we got her out of there!

ANNETTE BEGIN ADOPTED is a sweetie who was on the shy side. She didn't want to leave her kennel or walk on a leash when we met her at the shelter and we had to carry her out of there. Now in a foster home, her mom tells us: No longer timid and shy! When you just look at her she wags her tail! She’s happy, oh so sweet, full of life, playful and gentle all in one. It is hard to not look at her and smile. She loves to give kisses, good with our cat (if she wants to play he lets her know the rules and she listens) and is just an all around happy wiggly girl. Quiet and naps in her crate yet is ready in a flash for puppy play time! Oh so happy to be in a home with toys and love.

ELIIJAH WOOF ADOPTED found himself lost and alone and a concerned citizen took him to the pound in the hopes he could be reunited with his family. Unfortunately they didn't come to look for him so we offered this little one a place in the rescue. Just a pup, he is looking for a new family that will love him. His foster mom tells us he is a sweetheart. He is very affectionate and loves to be on the lap and cuddle. Walks nicely on a leash and sleeps in his crate overnight. His new family needs to know he loves to burrow under the covers.

AJAY ADOPTED is a young lad with such expressive eyes! How could you ever walk by the boy in a kennel and not stop dead in your tracks!?! We know we couldn't! Unfortunately many black dogs get overlooked at the shelter. When our volunteers took Ajay out to the play yard, he dazzled and was just so happy go lucky! Now in a foster home, his family tell us: Ajay seems to love the outdoors and snow. He is playful. Likes to play fetch. Has the energy and characteristics of a puppy. Sleeps through the night. Would benefit from a front harness on walks. He knows sit and is progressing on lay down. He enjoys snuggling and is very happy to greet you when you come home.

Hammy was another pup that found himself picked up by the dog catcher and taken to Animal Control. He didn't mind and quickly made lots of friends, both canine and human. Hammy is young and would be a great fit for just about any situation. His foster mom tells us: Definite puppy, full of energy and ready to go. So sweet and happy. Loves toys and balls already. TRIXIE ADOPTEDis a sweet girl that is new to our rescue. She was scared at Animal Control and the staff asked us to please take her as she just spent her time shaking in her kennel. Trixie had a family, but they decided they had no time for her and brought her to that scary place. HAYLEE SITFELD ADOPTED! is a pretty and playful pup that loves a good time! She has the softest fur, just like a teddy bear! Haylee is a very friendly girl, gives the best kisses and is going to make a great family dog. She has plenty of energy and her favorite thing to do is to get the zoomies! It's so funny to watch! She can amuse herself with a ball too - tossing it in the air and then running after it, over and over again! She doesn't look to have any hound in her but her nose is to the ground on walks so who knows! Unfortunately Haylee was picked up as a stray and it's obvious she has not had much structure in her life, and no one has spent any time teaching her any manners. Her new family will need to start from scratch, teaching her all the things she needs to know. She has learned to walk on a leash at her foster home and seems to be crate trained. She is eager to learn more!

Our beautiful ROSARIO PAWSON ADOPTED is a happy soul! She looks at you and that tail starts wagging in anticipation of being pet! She sides up to you and sits and, of course, you can't help but love on her! Her foster mom tells us "Rosario may be the sweetest girl on the planet". Rosario is ready to be your snuggle buddy. Of course she is ready to join you in your daily activities too, be that a lazy day or a hike, or running errands! She loves meeting people and is good with her doggie foster brother - in fact he joins her on the couch! Rosario has a gentle demeanor despite appearing to not of had the best start to life. Say ‘Hey MINKI - ADOPTED This approximately 3yr old little girl found herself homeless due to assisted living rules. She’s very sweet and has a delightful overbite. Apart from needing a nail trim, she’s in good health and is pretty cute. She gets along well with dogs - she will harass cats who let her do it, but the cats in her foster home are in no danger from her. She is good in the crate, will go outside to use the bathroom, loves going on walks and wants to sleep under the covers with you. She’s a sweetheart!

TIKKI - ADOPTED is looking for a new family to love! Tikki's previous family surrendered him to our rescue as they were not able to provide the right environment for him. With 5 kids in the house, it was just too busy and poor Tikki spent most of his time hiding behind the couch. He also got nippy with the kids when they tried to get him to come out and play. Tikki's owner said he was sweet and happy until the kids came to stay. Tikki is settling in nicely now he is in a foster home, and loves his foster mom!

DWAYNE PAWSON - ADOPTED is a friendly little guy but he can be a little on the shy side. He is the kind of pup who, once he warms up, becomes your best friend. He will love to lay by your side and sometimes on your lap but that is okay as he has a long body and shorty legs. Dwayne is very handsome hound mix with a beautiful tri colored coat. His foster mom says he is crate and house trained - will sleep in his crate at night. Dwayne takes treats gently. Give him a bone to chew on and he will be content. He is a very playful and friendly pup and gets along with his foster mom’s dogs. He still has some puppy in him and will need a patient owner.

LEAF ADOPTED is a very handsome pup that is smart and ready to learn whatever his new home can teach him! He is easy going and ready to take on the world. He is looking to join a fun family that has the time and understands the responsibility of bringing home an older pup that hasn't had much guidance in his young life. His foster mom says: Leaf is such a goofy puppy!!! And an absolute love! He brings us so much joy everyday! He has the sweetest personality and is incredibly smart, easy going and playful with my dogs. Leaf found himself at Animal Control along with his siblings who all got adopted. He came from a home where he got no training and minimal supervision. His new owner should have a plan in place for training as this little guy missed out on puppy kindergarten. A fenced in yard would be good but not a requirement.

GIGI PAWDID - ADOPTED is looking for a family that has a ❤️ for the seniors. It is so hard to see them at animal control confused as to why they are now in a cold kennel sleeping on the concrete floor. Gigi became urgent when the shelter exhausted all efforts to find a local rescue and so our volunteers rushed to pick her up - we couldn't accept her life would end there. Gigi's vetting has been updated, including a senior blood panel. We suspect some age related hearing loss and foster mom says she gets up stairs with assistance, but needs help coming down. She’s good with other dogs, doesn’t even look at the cats and enjoys treats from the kids. She’s potty trained and barks when she wants to go out. Gigi was surrendered to animal control after her daddy passed along with two other dogs that were rescued locally in GA. She is looking for a nice comfortable retirement home, lots of loving and spoiling, and a nice warm bed.

They require a safe, structured, and loving environment with a family that has plenty of time and patience! They need housetraining, guidance on what is theirs to chew and socialization with people and other dogs! Right now they are a blank slate and you will be responsible for ensuring they grow up into well mannered and social dogs. BEAU and BELLA ADOPTED are a pair like no other, round, happy and fun to be around. This middle aged duo found themselves abandoned at Animal Control after their owner passed away and no family member was able to step up and take them in. We saw their tail wagging adorableness on a video and made sure these two were out of harm's way. Beau and Bella are sweet, and are definitely used to car rides and walks. They can stand to loose a few pounds (Bella more so than Beau). They can be adopted separately, but if anyone would like to adopt both, we would be overjoyed for them.

BRADLEY COOPAW ADOPTED charmed the staff at Animal Control! Well that face is so adorably sweet and he is such a happy puppy. Our volunteers met him and agreed he needed to be a PPR recruit. He is very friendly, loving and playful. He loves to play ball, hasn't quite got the hang of bringing it back for you to throw but will amuse himself just tossing it around! Bradley's foster family tell us that he is good with other dogs, and although he is young, he can entertain himself nicely while mom is working from home. A perfect combination of energy and chill. Bradley's perfect match would be a family ready for the responsibility of a puppy who is super smart and ready to learn new things. What fun it will be to teach him tricks!

MILES JOSEPH BARKLEY! ADOPTED Miles is a happy boy who is smart (knows how to sit, stay and hold a command if food drops). He enjoys other dogs, and going for walks. He’s playful and fun loving, a little nervous in new situations but soon warms up. Unfortunately Miles lost his home when his mom had some severe injuries and was no longer able to care for him. He was loved so much and it was a hard decision for her. We assured her we would find him a wonderful new family that will love and care for him as much as she did.

This cutie is GENERAL! ADOPTED He's gorgeous and handsome and has the best smile ever! He has a little tail that only adds to his cuteness! He is ready to find a new family that will supply him with lots of toys, treats, and, of course, love! He did present as shy when our volunteers first met him, but he soon was accepting pets and jumping up gently to ask for more! He walks well on a leash too so would be a great walking buddy!

SONIC ADOPTED is a charmer! This little guy was having too much fun running loose around town! Of course the streets of Atlanta weren't safe for him to be doing that so the dog catcher took him to the pound! He was microchipped and his owner notified but decided not to reclaim him. That was the best news for Sonic as he does have some hair loss, which has now been treated. Some good nutrition and he wont need that little sweater on anymore though of course, it does make him look so cute! Sonic is sweet and friendly to everyone and has been having fun hanging out at doggie daycare while waiting for transport.

MURPHY - ADOPTED is a cute little boy that is looking for a new owner that is ready to help him shine! Poor guy was terrified at the shelter and was not able to go out on the adoption floor. Rescue was his only way out of there. He was picked up as a stray so he might have been on his own for a while. He needs some TLC and someone to go slow with him and help him to feel safe. He doesn't want to walk on a leash. We don't know if he doesnt know how or is just too scared, so at this time he needs a new owner to keep him safe while he learns that life is going to be good now. No little kids please. Another confident dog in the home would probably be helpful. We will update his bio once he is settled in his foster home and we know more about him.

JAICIE ADOPTED is a super adorable little girl that is now ready to find her new family! She's darling, sweet and just about perfect! She is sweet and playful with the other small dogs in her foster home. She is a great snuggler, housetrained and quiet. Jaicie unfortunately came to the shelter after being hit by a car. Xrays showed a broken pelvis. Our vet said surgery wasn't necessary, just 6 weeks of crate rest while she healed, which she has now done. She can present as a tad shy and she will take off if not leashed. Obviously this is why she got into trouble with the car and her new owner will need to keep her safe and teach her to come when called!

TOBY PAWGUIRE ADOPTED is best buddy material for sure! He has the most adorable smile and a long tail that never stops wagging! Toby would love to curl up with you and snuggle while you are reading a book or watching TV by the fire. Toby's owner was moving and he wasn't invited, so he found himself dropped off at Animal Control. We scooped him up to make sure he's never homeless again! Toby is now in a foster home and his foster mom tells us he is a happy and sweet boy, good in the car, ok with her little dog, loves chomping on his chewies and very playful.

SIR SCRUFFINGTON ADOPTED has certainly got the cute factor and we know he is going to be very popular! He is a precious little, bright-eyed pup that gives lots of kisses and loves to lie in your lap (but likes his personal space too) Scruffy (as his foster mom calls him) will find the corner of his foster mom's bed and sleep quietly all night. He is good about chewing on bones and not your stuff but, of course, he is young and will need guidance in that department. Crate trained and working on potty training. Doesn't bark but will join in when the other dogs in the home do! Scruffy was picked up running loose - we can't believe his family didn't come to find him at the pound. Older kids only just because of his size.

PIP ADOPTED is a loyal little dog looking for a Daddy that he can call his own. His Dad recently passed away and he misses taking car rides to Stewart’s with him! Pip even knows the Stewart’s sign and gets excited pulling up! He is a calm and sweet little guy who is good with both dogs and cats. Pip would love to sleep next to you and cuddle with you on the bed, if allowed. Pip is house trained and crate trained.

HAPPY! ADOPTED Well it's easy to guess how this little pup got his name!
He is such a happy, happy, happy boy! So friendly and one of those dogs that just makes you smile! Look at those puppy dog eyes! Look at those ears! What a handsome young boy! Happy is so sweet and loves to give kisses, and be pet. He seems to be on the submissive side too. Happy was an owner surrender to the shelter - they left no information as to why. All we can think is that it is the usual reason ~ puppies are a lot of work and will get into stuff if you don't take the time to teach them some manners. He will need a new home that can give him the proper exercise, stimulation and structure essential to a young pup.

FRECKLES ADOPTED is sweet and friendly and ready to join you in whatever your day brings! She is so pretty and knows several commands, walks nicely on a leash, and loves to ride in the car. Freckles was surrendered to the shelter when unfortunately her owner got sick and couldn't take care of her anymore. Freckles has a lovely, soft coat but she is on the skinny side and needs to put on a few pounds.

AMARYLLIS ADOPTED This happy girl didn't mind a trip to the shelter - just an opportunity to make more friends, human and canine! If you are looking for the perfect hiking companion, Amaryllis is ready to hit the trails, no matter the weather! She is an incredibly smart young adult that needs someone that can keep her mentally stimulated throughout the day. Amaryllis has had some training and she hopes to find a home that can aid in her ability to learn and expand her knowledge. She’s also happy to crash at your feet and give you kisses in between playing with her dog friends and abundance of toys. Amaryllis would do best in a home without young children. Amaryllis is crate trained and house trained.

LOGAN BURKS ADOPTED is a happy guy, who was surrendered to PPR due to a child's allergies. He's obviously been well cared for and a loved family member. He knows several commands as he went to training classes when he was a puppy. He would be great for a family that is looking for an adult dog that is house and crate trained. His owner told us he likes to play but is a great couch potato - and he does snore!

TODD ADOPTED (Tiny) is a pure love bug and a cuddle aficionado according to his foster mom! Todd presents himself as shy but once he gets comfortable he just wants to be with you and shower you with kisses! Tiny is the definition of a lap dog. He was turned into the shelter with his friend who was adopted. We think he would like another dog in the house to play with though that is not a requirement. Todd is good with respectful kids too. He is so cute when he makes himself comfortable by burrowing under the blankets!

STEPHEN PAWKING ADOPTED is a darling little guy that is definitely on the timid side. He wasn't a happy camper during his stay at the shelter but did well once we got him out of his small cage and wanted to be pet. Stephen was a stray so we don't have a lot of information on him. He is now in a foster home and his foster mom tells us he is quite skittish. He is shy of new situations and a quieter, less busy home would suit him best with no little kids. Stephen has been though a lot of change from being a lost dog, then finding himself in the shelter, and then transport to NY. He will need a patient owner that will give him time to settle and earn his trust.

OZZIE OSWALD ADOPTED is the kind of guy you can't help but love at first sight. Tall, dark and beyond handsome! Those eyes! OMG so soulful and soft floppy ears just right for stroking! This hound (maybe great dane) mix is as sweet as they come and good with other dogs, kids and the family pig. Ozzie is a sweet gentleman looking to join a new family who love the big guys!

CHARLES PAWIN:ADOPTED The cute factor is off the charts with his little nub tail too! His foster mom tells us he is such a funny guy and very delightful. He is super friendly and loved my friends. He is also quiet and well behaved outside He slept all night on the bed and didn't make a peep. He was surrendered to Animal Control along with Walter Pawin and they look to be related. Owner left no details on them unfortunately. The shelter aged Charles around 6 years old and he weighs 14 lbs.

Sometimes a dog just speaks to you and asks to be rescued! Chloe is such a dog. With those beautiful eyes, she certainly caught our attention at the shelter and we immediately invited her to join our rescue.
Chloe is a beyond friendly, super, super sweet, happy go lucky girl who is good with kids, but she does need a family ready to commit to some training as it's obvious her owners never did. She does like to collect shoes! Her foster family are working with her and say she is super smart, eager to please and has already learned to sit. She LOVES her doggie friends so would make a great playmate for some looking for a companion for their playful dog. She has enjoyed hiking with her foster family so we think she would be a great addition to an active family too.

MATILDA: ADOPTED! This pretty girl found herself surrendered to Animal Control right before the holidays. Her owners moved without her. It’s been a hard year for everyone, but this girl is hoping it’ll be all awesome from here on! She was just surrendered when we met her, so confused and sad, but we could see the sweet girl inside those mournful eyes. She’s a bit heavier than she should be, looks like she had puppies in her past. It’s time for her to get the wonderful family who will love her forever!

CLARA MARIE! ADOPTED What an absolute sweetheart! Clara can present as a tad shy in new situations but she is friendly and also loves playing with dogs of all shapes and sizes! Her playful nature has her chasing the cats, but she never hurts them. Clara is crate trained, and walks well on a leash. This amazing lady loves children too.

Her leg doesn’t cause her any pain, and rather than putting her through an unnecessary surgery we’ve decided that she’s perfect just the way she is. She will give you paw with her leg and she uses it for some support. She’s unique, and nothing in life has held her back!
