We have many dogs  undergoing vetting and quarantine in Georgia and who will be traveling north shortly!
If you are interested in any of these dogs, please go ahead and submit an application so you can be approved to meet them as soon as they arrive!
The following dogs are due to arrive in NY on Sunday, February 26th.

SATCHMO

SATCHMO - We immediately noticed him in a very crowded shetler - how could you miss those cute ears and wonderful smile!  He was sharing a kennel with several other dogs and didn't seem to be too worried about his situation, had no idea of the danger he was in.  We took him out to evaluate him and just fell in love! He’s a gentle goofball who likes to play and always has a smile on his face and a wag in his tail. He will make you smile too!  He is very playful, silly and sweet and is going to make a great, loveable family dog.  He  is just a youngster, about a year old and would love to join a family that will spend time with him and perhaps teach him some tricks too - He is very eager to please and loves to be by your side.   Satchmo weighs 35lbs, and has a lovely soft coat.  He is a real GA Mutt and many breeds have been involved in producing this very handsome young man.   Satchmo has been vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, heartworm tested negative and neutered.  We are asking for an adoption donation of $400 to help with the costs associated with caring for our animals.

DARRELL

Picture
DARRELL:  Just absolutely stunning.  Everyone that meets him just falls in love  and remark what a gorgeous boy he is!  He has been blessed with a beautiful soft white coat, speckled with little dots here and there, especially behind his ears.  He loves to be brushed and pet - he is such a snuggle bug!   Darrell is a happy and friendly boy about a year old and we see some border collie and maybe shepherd in his make up.  His foster mom tells us that he loves to play with other dogs, he's excellent on a leash and walks right by your side. He also loves chewing on his toys and bones.  He has lots of puppy energy so a home with another dog to play with would be great and a family committed to taking on a special needs pup.  You see it turns out that Darrell is deaf and will need to be trained using hand signals.  He is super smart and is already learning to sit.  He is looking for that special person who will invite him to join their family and who will have the time to train him.  There are lots of resources and support for owners of deaf dogs - visit  www.deafdogs.org for more information. Darrell weighs in at 25  lbs.  He has been microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm tested negative and neutered.  We are asking for an adoption donation of $400 to help with the costs associated with caring for our animals.

AHAVA

Picture
Ahava just too cute for words!  She is an absolute doll and  has a wonderful disposition. She is very sweet and loves everyone she meets and would make a great family pet! Ahava is very affectionate and loves to snuggle. She gets along great with other dogs too and has good house manners. What is there not to love about this cutie?  She is very pretty with her soft yellow coat - she is like a petite labby girl but weighing only 25lbs we think there must be a smaller breed involved too,  perhaps  chihuahua.  Ahava is around 2 years old. Ahava has been vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, dewormed, microchipped and spayed.  We are asking for an adoption donation of $400 to help with the costs associated with caring for our animals.

Sababa

Picture
Sababa means cool and this little boy is certainly a cool guy!  He is also very lucky that PPR was visiting animal control and saw him being brought in by his owner.    He didn't have stay in a very crowded shelter and compete with so many other dogs hoping for a second chance. He is just another of the black scruffy dogs that are a dime a dozen in GA and are very hard to notice in the dimly let shelter.   His owner said that she was getting divorced and couldn't keep him. Poor Sababa, he didn't deserve to be dropped off in such a scary place. He is a cute little guy, very friendly and outgoing and just oozing personality and he didn't let his homelessness affect his happy attitude!  He is about 2 years old and weighs 15lbs so just the perfect size lap dog. Sababa has visited the beauty salon since this picture was taken at the shelter, we will be posting a new photo soon!
Sababa has been vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, heartworm tested negative and neutered.  We are asking for an adoption donation of $400 to help with the costs associated with caring or our animals.
